Trade Announced:

OKC Trades Carmely Anthony
Miami Trades Kevin Love

Wow, what's with these blockbusters lately.

People are over-reacting to criticisms and critiques.

Some are winning big, and some a re la-la-la-losing.
Yeah I think Miami won this trade handily.

Nice trade for Bahku, he needed scoring and a prover winner/star on his team badly. Great work by the Doc.

I actually like it for both teams. OKC gave up some talent but they got the bigman they needed to put on Kobe's team. A pinch more defense, and they'll be Lakers-Lite

Lakers-lite?  Except without a center who is top 10 in the league and with a PF that, I think, is way worse.  Gasol has pwned Love:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/h2h_finder.cgi?request=1&p1=gasolpa01&p2=loveke01

Even held Love scoreless and to 7 boards in 34 minutes of play this past November.

Not even close to Lakers-lite in my opinion.  But I'm sure OKC must have had a very good rationale in mind behind this trade, so I'll look forward to hearing it. (I just hope its not because other posters convinced him in their lies that Kobe Melo couldn't coexist.)

WHAAAAAAATTTT

This is more than a WOW

Without looking at rosters, OKC has fallen VERY far down my rankings now.  I had been a firm believer that Kobe and Melo were going to work.  Mo and Shard were great fits for them too.
Yep, that is my reaction too.

this is just my opinion. I think it's a better fit. With Kobe, Mo and Rashard's strengths are scoring, they'll need more possessions. Love is an excellent rebounder and will give those three more possessions.

They'd coexist, it'd just be a fight to the death on who got the jack up more shots.

I like that. Nice pickup behind Chuck Hayes and Channing Frye.

Offers a different and valuable (third string) skill-set.

Ya, I was kidding w/ Action that I closed my spreadsheet for the first time today because I didn't think there was any real value available. But all things considered, he's a pretty big pickup for us.

exactly. and with Mo and Rashard needing shots to be effective too. I think this is a good deal for OKC.

I don't think Mo Williams necessarily needs shots when paired with Kobe/Melo. He's primarily their to space the floor and hit open shots he's given. (like Fisher has most of his career)
