With their 4th-round pick in the 2011 CelticsBlog Draft, the South Beach Samurai, (aka Miami Heat), select 6'7", 205-pound Small Forward from Washington State ...

... Klay Thompson

:)
Wow -- Chauncey Billups, Klay Thompson, Kevin Love and Brook Lopez

Runaway leader for the best jump shooting team in the league.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
In that light, in case you haven't checked the thread in an hour or so,

Jazz trades 4.20 and 9.10
Bucks Trade 5.16 and 6.9

With pick 4.18, the Phoenix Suns happily select Jason Kidd.
Him and Manu will make a tough backcourt. Though you'll have trouble dealing with speed/athleticism.

Jason Kidd is the first Maverick to slip in the draft.

Dirk Nowitzki    2010 1.12 (12th)   2011 1.5 (5th)
Tyson Chandler 2010 3.28 (88th)   2011 2.12 (36th)
Shawn Marion   2010 4.13 (103rd) 2011 4.3 (75th)
Jason Terry     2010 5.10 (130th)   2011 4.8 (80th)
Jason Kidd      2010 3.17 (77th)    2011 4.18 (90th)

How high will the Custodian go?

:)

First guy picked that I had no idea who he was

Really? Here's a little info:

21.6 PPG, 3.7 APG, .398 3PT%, 5.2 RPG, 0.9 BPG, 1.6 SPG.

"When watching Thompson it's easy to see that he's the son of a former player.  He has a great feel for where to be on the court and he understands how spacing can help him get his shot off.  His tremendous shooting ability and his ability to become more of a facilitator for his teammates this season have shown his ability to improve on his skill-set.  Thompson is a guy who seems to understand the game and what he needs to do to not only be successful, but to help his team succeed as well."

11th pick in the 2011 NBA draft, one noted for its weakness when it comes to front line talent.

I'll take that as compliment (though I doubt it was). ;)
