Speculation aside, I'd be shocked if the Clippers declined to match a mid-level deal (if the MLE still exists in the next CBA).
Yeah...well, I wouldn't put anything past the Clippers, but overall I agree.
On the other hand, Jordan is still a pretty big bust risk at the full MLE. He had a nice game against the C's, but he still has a long way to go before he is even an MLE quality player. Based on how things have gone with big men in the past, I agree that he will get that kind of money, purely on "potential", but you never know what could happen with the new CBA.
More likely though, I think there are two plausible ways the Clippers could let him go.
1. They sign/trade for a better Center (depending on the new CBA, they could have cap space this summer), such as Dwight Howard, or more likely Chandler or Nene, and let him walk.
2. They fall in love with Jeff Green, and work out a sign and trade of Jordan for Green, with the hope that they can use cap space in 2012 (or trade at the deadline) for Dwight Howard.
