Just wondering, is there any 'go-to' site that anyone goes to in order to find local autograph signings? I live in CT and always end up missing out, and was just looking to try to maybe snag an autograph next Celtic that comes around (since I have a few days off left from work and can make the trip :-) )

Any tips/thoughts? Maybe during the lockout some players will do some appearances to earn a little quick cash. Hoping that Pierce or Rondo will make an appearance, although I'm sure they are few and far between.

Any help would be great, thanks!

http://www.signingshotline.com/ (correcting typo from previous post)

http://www.sportsgraphing.com/upcoming-signings/

http://www.sureshotpromotions.com/events.aspx

The first 2 are general listings of all events; the last is a local promoter that has done several C's signings in the past.

Thanks a ton to both of you! I ended up paying for the year and subscribing to signingshotline.com.

Sureshotpromotions looks interesting, as it looks like they've had Pierce, Ray, and Rondo over the past year.  Some of there prices on their site are quite low compared to other places (at times more than 1/2 off) , almost makes me question their legitamacy, anyone have any thoughts on them at all?

Wouldn't mind putting some effort in and getting some autographs, although it looks like at times getting it yourself can turn out to be a lot pricier than just buying something already autographed!

I have a lot of pictures and some memorabilia, but it would definitely be nice to get some autographs to showcase on the wall as well. Will probably try to pickup an authentic jerseys or 2 to be signed, even though that can get expensive especially with the fees it looks like everyone charges, so we will see.

Thanks!

I would LOVE to get my authentic Pierce 'Banner Night' jersey autographed (and then framed of course).

That is without a doubt my favorite jersey. Took like 5 months to get from NBA.com (ordered it Opening Night, didn't get to late-February/early-March) and never even took it out of the plastic completely.

Will take a look at those sites greenpride posted tomorrow. Thanks

I'm jealous! I was at opening night where they raised the banner, but was so caught up in the moment I didn't even attempt to purchase anything. I'll have to find something original for him to sign when he comes around again. I wish you could still buy it, but I'm sure it's WAY too late for that.

Locally there arent a ton of shows going on

Jojo will be in mansfield july

Hondo mchale, russell cousy bird, parrish and tiny all have privite signings coming up (means you cant meet them, mail order only)

i will clue you in on a signing with the 2 rookies at a place called collectors den in  indianapolis, I ordered mail order through him for both rooks

the other site to keep tabs on is sureshotpromotions.com and new england picture.  Theyve had a ton lately of Celts.

What I'm REALLY dying for is a "COaches"  signing. Remember the old  Orr, Bird, Ted  photo that goes for thousands now?   I want to see a photo of the 4 coaches (Bill Doc Tito claude) holding the championship trophies    and do a signing with all four at the same time for that photo only. How amazing of a show would that be?

Are you referring to the Jajuan Johnson signing on 7/16? I actually called about that today hoping to order a signed picture through the mail. The woman told me that Jajuan's agent called earlier today and cancelled the signing for the current time and is not sure if it is going to be rescheduled or not since this is the second time it has been cancelled.  Hopefully it will be.  E'twaun was going to be there as well? That would make sense.I'm hoping with the lockout there will be a lot of players doing signings.

I'm debating buying something to send in for the Bird signing or purchasing something that has already been signed (the Bird/Magic photo from his retirement ceremony is high on my list).

Thanks for the headsup! I'm looking at purchasing something ahead of time for when Pierce is doing another signing.

We will see.  Thanks for the head

I've gone to many of their signings, but I've never purchased any of their autographed products.   Typically in the autograph industry there are what's called COA's or certificates of authenticity.  Anyone can print up a COA, so it boils down to the vendor's reputation.

To me the auto is only special if you got in on the item you wanted and got it in person so you know 100% it's legit.  I got my 2009-10 season ticket booklet auto'ed by as many guys on the roster that year as I could; Pierce, Allen, Rondo, TA, Perkins, Nate, Marquis, BBD.  You couldn't even buy this in a store if you wanted to.

If you want to buy a Bird-Magic item I would recommend you buy it from UDA - Upper Deck Authenticated.  They are generally viewed as a reliable source having had exclusive deals wth many of the biggest stars in the past; Jordan, Gretzky, Tiger, etc.  If for any reason you had to sell the item, there would definitely be a market for it being UDA.  Some might hesitate on COA's from lesser known companies.

You can see their current lineup here: http://store.upperdeck.com/store/Signed_Memorabilia?Args=

After the C's won the 2008 title, UDA released a bunch of stuff including a team photo, KG stuff, and some big three items.

I own this one: http://www.gridironauthentics.com/?siteid=77&itemcategory=23564&priorId=0&ProductId=28878&vendorId=23564

Wait so you were in attendance that night and YOU'RE the jealous one? Hmmmm.... Lol.

I wish I was there that night.

From what I remember, they were released on NBA.COM or shortly thereafter that night, and it took several months for them to ship any. I even worried I wouldn't get one. I think they sold out pretty quickly, but they were definitely pre-orders.

Still, being there trumps any memorabilia IMO, but I need to get it signed someday!

I agree that getting it in person  trumps all...but there are some guys that just flat out wont do in person,   Bird is one,  KC Jones never signs,  Doc does privite only I hear and if you want to drop 175 for the chance to meet Russell when you can pay exactly that for a PSA/COA 16x20 of his 11 rings photo,  be my guest  lol.  I was goign to pay the price to meet him but once I saw I could get the exact photo I wanted for less than itd cost to meet him  it was a no brainer despite how much I want to meet the man
