I think everyone's just a little upset that I can't get a top 5 pick this year.

Solution: Guarantee me the first spot, then watch the people come rollin' in

I'm ecstatic that you can't get a top 5 pick, but knowing your luck you'll get the 6th pick.

lock me in for a team if there's still room.  definitely not going to be able to keep up with every page of discussions/banter/internet is for serious business pics, but i'll be active throughout as always.

People are afraid of me and my team building skills. I'm like a combination of Sam Pollock, Glenn Sather and Frank Selke.

In every sense, I'd be afraid of competing against half-a-Red

Rebus, correct me if Im wrong, but has the phrase, "for sure" taken the place of Aboot in canadian culture?  Every time I watch a house hunters and they are in toronto or any part of Canada I hear "For sure" non-stop

IP (or someone else) -- have you PM'ed the GMs from the last CBlog Draft and Pick 2 Draft?

I didn't want to duplicate work if it's been done... folks may have stopped checking CelticsBlog as much with the lockout.

33-00-32, BigAltheFuture are a couple names that come to mind.

I would love to participate, been looking forward to it. July just doesn't work for me especially the first half so I have to sit on the sidelines with Roy & Faf. I'm bummed but understand why it is when it is. Maybe some year everything will fall into place and technological advances will keep me from getting disconnected from the good people at CB. Good luck to all who do participate and for those that are borderline...go for it, lots of fun! Like I said before, I'll be watching and giving my humble opinions.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
So we've got 2 spots left, which will hopefully be filled by the end of the day. Lottery + other official stuff to follow in the next couple of days.

several folks have said July is not good for them ... with the NBA likely gone for the rest of the calendar year -- >:( -- does it make sense to wait till Aug?

just an idea that i'm sure the commish(es) have poured over...

REMINDER everyone: Don't forget to thank the commish/es for the greatest summertime sport, CelticsBlog Draft with copious TP's!!!

We like to have everything wrapped by Labor Day weekend, hence the July startdate.  Between the interest gauging, actual draft, and subsequent debates/judging period, it often takes a month or more.

Starting it in July helps create a slight buffer zone in order to get it wrapped up by Labor Day weekend.

If memory serves me correctly, last years draft started that much later in the month and definitely suffered because of it, no?
