3. We are reducing rosters down to  13 due to lack of timely participation during the last day.

4. We are reducing the number of teams down to 24, to ensure participation.

Just did the math on these 2 wrinkles... I know it's kinda moot b/c we're having trouble finding even 24 teams yet (though we do have a whole week still) but...

last few years = 30 teams x 15 players = 450 players

this year's CBD = 24 teams x 13 players = 312 players

In the 30 team draft the 312th player was taken in the middle of the 10th round...

I know participation waned a bit toward the end (even if some of us loved that part of the draft) but lopping off the last 4.5 rounds cuts out a lot of players (too lazy to go look through those rounds from last year.)

For clarification purposes, last year's draft only had 13 rounds, as well.

I think most people would prefer a full 15-round, 30 team draft.  Unfortunately, there's not interest for that.  Heck, this year IP seems to be having trouble getting 24 interested GMs.

ah... thanks Roy.

given that the NBA owners are probably gonna rob us of a full season... any reason not to push back the draft a week or so to find more owners?

It is up to date, and I'm very thankful that you rewarded me with the second overall pick.

Howard or Lebron! Nice!

I don't want to live in a world where Jeff Goldblum isn't a first tier star.

Chris Noth isn't a 2nd tier star? Has he sunk to tier 3?

Where do guys like Anthony Anderson or Benjamin Bratt from the original rank?

Benjamin Bratt is an elite tier 1 category comprised of just him, Dennis Franz and Noah Wiley.

Anthony Anderson is a rotational player at best. If you're expecting much out of him, I'm not expecting much out of your team.

Was just looking back and wanted to say that I thought these were the best value picks in each round:

1.17 - Derrick Rose - Lucky drafts the NBA's MVP with the 17th pick. very nice.

2.27 - Zach Randolph - Given the year he had this was tremendous value late, late in the 2nd by Tradetime/celticpride07 though they did trade him.

3.20 - Paul Millsap and 3.28 Tyson Chandler - just great value in this round picking up these guys where they did for action and GC.

4.26 - Wilson Chandler - okay I'm a bit biased here but 15/6 and a much improved defensive game is pretty good for late 4th. If not him then action did it again grabbing Gortat at the top of the round.

5.23 - James Harden - turned into a steal this late in the draft for GaBerkowitz/WeMadeit

6.9 - Wesley Matthews - brilliant pickup for the Champ in the sixth round. Only question is how did KC let him even get to the 6th round?

7.17 - Mike Conley - another awesome pick by Lucky. How often do you get a starting POG who can give you 14/7 while shooting 37% from 3 in the 7th round?

8.1 - Tony Allen - I am an unabashed Tony Allen hater but he had a magnificent year in Memphis and IP got the best value in the round with the first pick in the round

9.6 - Tyler Hansborough - kid showed he could be an NBA player and had a heck of a second half of the 2011 season averaging 15/7 after the All-Star game. Good job dwlefty.

Gotta go more to come later

Nick, if you want to tag team a best/worst picks of CB Draft 2010 similar to what I got up in 2008 just start the thread.

True but they were all just mere shadows of the original Saved by the Bell. Kelly Kapowski was the bomb.

Do you mean there is a thread or do you mean you want me to start a thread just to discuss best/worst picks of last year's draft?

Don't know why we can't discuss it here, I mean this thread is about the CB Draft and yet we have had discussions about rap music, Michael Jackson vs Prince, Law and Order flunky actors, Canadian prime ministers, IP's love of James Franco, 7 foot power forwards, and the overall greatness that will be the Dinoboxer Boxerbots.
