2011 CB Draft Interest Thread/Team Assignment+Lottery

Was just looking back and wanted to say that I thought these were the best value picks in each round:

1.17 - Derrick Rose - Lucky drafts the NBA's MVP with the 17th pick. very nice.

2.27 - Zach Randolph - Given the year he had this was tremendous value late, late in the 2nd by Tradetime/celticpride07 though they did trade him.

3.20 - Paul Millsap and 3.28 Tyson Chandler - just great value in this round picking up these guys where they did for action and GC.

4.26 - Wilson Chandler - okay I'm a bit biased here but 15/6 and a much improved defensive game is pretty good for late 4th. If not him then action did it again grabbing Gortat at the top of the round.

5.23 - James Harden - turned into a steal this late in the draft for GaBerkowitz/WeMadeit

6.9 - Wesley Matthews - brilliant pickup for the Champ in the sixth round. Only question is how did KC let him even get to the 6th round?

7.17 - Mike Conley - another awesome pick by Lucky. How often do you get a starting PG who can give you 14/7 while shooting 37% from 3 in the 7th round?

8.1 - Tony Allen - I am an unabashed Tony Allen hater but he had a magnificent year in Memphis and IP got the best value in the round with the first pick in the round

9.6 - Tyler Hansborough - kid showed he could be an NBA player and had a heck of a second half of the 2011 season averaging 15/7 after the All-Star game. Good job dwlefty.

Finishing up:

10.15 - Jose Juan Barea and 10.22 Dorell Wright - The GaBerkowitz/WeMadeIt combo ends up drafting the starting PG for the NBA champs in the 10th round and THE Walker Wiggle just happens to grab a SF who averages 16.9 PPG in the 10th. Awesome jobs guys!!!

11.27 - Kris Humphries - not only does riah grab a player that averaged a double double for the season in the 11th round he also drafted a guy who landed Kim Kardashian all in the same year. Maybe best value pick of the draft!!!!

12.1 - Landry Fields - IP once again with the best value in the round and maybe the biggest surprise value in the draft.

13.5 - Jodie Meeks - okay once again I hate to pat myself on the back again but picking up a rotation player that can shoot 40% from three, 90% from the FT line all while putting up 10.5 PPG is worthy of best pick in the 13th and last round

Best at defense..yup.

Best at scoring....don't know about that. There were a bunch that could put up points like the Wade/Grant Hill/Paul George/Eyenga combo, Pierce/Allen/Delonte combo and the Maggette/Beasley/Roy/Thorton combo to name a few(heck even my Chandler/Manu/Meeks/Budinger combo could score big).

Longball...I don't see it. Lebron is a slightly below average three point shooter, Landry good but young and unproven, could be quirk, and Tony Allen...well that's just silly.

Overall, you have a definite case to present as overall best but there were some really good one's, that's for sure. Lebron gives you a major heads up there that's for sure. Sort of like StarOrien's team had the best front court because he had Howard.

Yeah, as I said, when you start with the best player in the league, you definitely have a heads up on best overall wing combos in the league.

Still not buying the longball thing but definitely think you far the best defensive combo, probably by a wide margin because even Landry can play defense.

Nicely done and TP, nick.  StartOrien, you can ignore that I'm on that list twice..... and I traded away both of those players at some point.      Let's keep me officially out of any trading business for our franchise.
