I like the number 12 for Johnson.....  #55 for Moore could suggest he'll be on the training camp bubble.  Unless Moore REALLY impresses in camp I'd be inclined to roll the dice with a veteran or even a guy who has don well in the D-League.

Call me crazy I think they should have switched numbers.  12 for Moore (Sichting's old number) and 55 for Johnson (Eric Williams old number).

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Cool, but what number will Howard where?  :P

I don't know about Moore, but I fully expect Johnson to see the court early and often.

Danny's best pick since Rondo. So glad we didn't draft another vertically challenged 6'6 PF with no work ethic or injury history.

I've watched probably 5 Perdue games in the last day or two.. I love JaJuan Johnson. The only reason he wasn't a lottery pick was because of his weight and because he wasn't very hyped coming into college.

Kid's gonna be good, just got a feeling on this one.

Yeah - I went to Purdue so Im pretty familiar with JJ and I am especially excited about the pick-up.

Don't think Moore has a future in the league tho...but Im ok with the pick at where we were drafting

Noticed Johnson has #12, so does this let us know about the fate of Von Wafer (who was #12 during the season) ?

Wafer's not likely to be welcomed back.

By the way, I was at the Press Conference this morning and I was blown away at how thin JaJuan Johnson is.  He's definitely really tall, but he's also thin as a twig.  He's definitely gonna need to add a significant amount of bulk to his body to even achieve a KG type of physique.

I'm fine with this.  When the C's needed Wafer most last year he was hurt and he really contributed very little.  I'm not sure why so many posters are high on bringing him back.  I think they can aim much higher and may be able to bring in a real shooter like Mike Dunleavey or Kapono probably for the minimum.

So long, Von!
