Think Danny was just trying to find players who could relate to the laments of the C's, losing 3 years in a row because of a key player going down with a leg injury?

Maybe we can get Hummell next year?  Man I feel bad for that kid.

E'Twaun Moore looks like Kobe Bryant compared to a lot of the guys that were picked in the 2nd round. The Laker picks were hilarious. Moore is the type of guy that will play 12 years in the league and be on a few championship teams.

I think he will replace Wafer.

Johnson strikes me as the unBaby and Moore his unDonkey counterpart.  I like it.

The kid's an interesting pick. Love his jumpshot. For a big man he looks comfortable and confident out there. That said he definitely needs muscle on his frame and from what I see in those videos he has zero idea how to seal his man. He hit a lot of contested jumpshots in those videos simply by jumping over guys. He's not gonna be able to do that so much at the next level. Someone is gonna have to teach him how to play in the post.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

I like E'Twaun Moore, but Darius Morris is better.  Maybe not this year, but in a couple years, Morris could be the starting PG on that team.  I love bashing the Lakers, but it was a good pick, and I'm very surprised he fell that far in this draft.

Johnson reminds me of Mikki Moore except he rebounds slightly better.  :-\

I've watched these guys for years in the Big 10 and this is a nice one two punch of the bench.

Johnson is a very athletic big man with decent strength.  If you can get him to get some good weight on and play with a little more intensity (Garnett should help), he really is intriguing and has a lot of developmental potential.

Moore is a nice 2nd round pick who should challenge Von Wafer's minimum salary replacement.
Wow very encouraged by these posts any videos off hand that somewhat advertise what we could/might be seeing?

Morris should be better since he was drafted 14 picks ahead of Moore. But I am not a Morris fan and can understand why he fell. He is a PG project and might not be ready in two years.

He's also a higher usage scorer, with a far more well rounded offensive game. He fouls less and takes care of the ball.

Actually here are both Johnson's and Moore's numbers as seniors:

20.5 points on 49.4 FG% 80.9 FT% 8.6 REB 2.3 BLK 1.6 TO 1.6 PF JaJuan Johnson
11.7 points on 58.3 FG% 70.1 FT% 7.4 REB 2.7 BLK 2.5 TO 3.2 PF Mikki Moore

What? He is nothing like Mikki Moore. Johnson was a far superior player in college to Mikki Moore. The guy was Big Ten Player of the Year. Moore was never even drafted. Johnson also has an offensive game. Something Moore never developed.

You need to look at more players since they are nothing alike other than they both can block shots.

Johnson also won this year's Pete Newell Big Man Award. If you look at the award's history it bodes well for his NBA prospects.

2011: Jajuan Johnson
2010: Greg Monroe
2009: Blake Griffin
2008: Micheal Beasley
2007: Greg Oden
2006: Big Baby
2005: Andrew Bogut
2004: Emeka Okafor
2003: Davis West
2002: Drew Gooden

Seriously what college conference you played in means nothing...J.R. Giddens was co-conference player of the year.  And everyone else said the draft was weak, thus weaker players are going to win the award.

And I'm not talking about college, I understand Johnson averaged more points.  Looking at how Johnson's game will translate to the NBA he reminds me of Mikki Moore in that he's a wiry thin mid range shooting big man.  Yes Johnson does have a much more refined offensive game much more than Mikki ever did but Johnson won't be able to bang in the post in the NBA.  Heck against VCU Purdude gave up something like 24 or 25 layups!  Where's the inside presence there.  (Yes I know he's not the only one at fault there but still.)

I never agree with Felger but he's right in what he said here, if the guy is 6'10/6'11 and wasn't drafted in the top 10 something has to be wrong.  I hope I'm wrong and he turns into a solid role player, but my expectations are low.

Where does it say that JJ idolized KG? That's awesome

Also as far as Brooks do you guys see him developing into a Nick Young/Jr Smith type player? Not much defense but can put the ball in the hole - if so we definitely could have used some scoring

Honestly, I've got a huge feeling that Brook's gonna be something special and that the Celt's messed up big time. They could obviously just grab a big at free agency, in my opinion Danny Ainge just panicked and agreed to NJN's trade. But if Ainge's plan is to gather picks for trade bait for A.River in the draft next season, all is forgiven.
