Marshon Brooks offensive game is so similar to Reggie Lewis' offensive its not even funny.  [dang] it Danny!  Should have held onto him.  He fell in your lap!

except Lewis was taller, longer, and played great defense.
6'7 vs 6'5 and Lewis did not play D at Northeasterm

Brooks is no better than Von Wafer, and Wafer knows our system already.
Please.  Thats just a ridiculous statement with no merit.

What kind of merit do you have behind your statement, saying that Brooks is similar to Reggie Lewis?

So you just get to make comparisons between players, but others don't.

Brooks is going to be a career D-Leaguer.
My eyes.  Watched both in person play at their respective colleges for 4 years.

There goes Tyler.  Smart pick by Charlotte.  They'll get him on a minimum contract and can give him time to develop.
The only thing I hate worse than drafting a 19 year old kid that averaged single digits in the big 12 is drafting a 19 year old kid that averaged single digits in Japan. But when you do it in the 2nd round it makes way more sense

I can't believe what Kahn is doing... He SOLD the 31st pick! After moving down from the 20th. I would probably cry if this guy was our GM.

Regarding Johnson, we need bodies right now. No one expected Erden to play last year but he definately contributed... we'll see.
Who did he sell it too?  What a clown!!!!!

Sold it to New Jersey, according to Woj.

Anyone know anything about Johnson though? Hearing lots of conflicting stuff on the kind of player he is. I've heard that he's either a great faceup offensive player and a mediocre defender, but I've also heard that he's a defense-first big. Anyone want to clarify?

Yeah, this is what I meant about conflicting reports... NBAdraft only gave him a 7 for defense and says he'll get pushed around in the post. But the guy WAS Big 10 defensive player of the year for a reason.. right?

Yeah, college players are much smaller and weaker than NBA ones.

I'm pretty sure Japanese players are smaller too, and so are high school players

But he should remain a good weak-side shot blocker.

Tyler looks very slow footed
I'm not a fan of guys like that. They never become great players

I also think Von Wafer is fairly superior to Brooks. More athletic. Easier for him to construct high percentage shots vs NBA defenses. And  Von Wafer isn't the chuker he used to be... something that Brooks still is.

That makes at least 2 of us. Solid evaluation imo.
