This obviously does not account for the makeup of the team at the time nor slower development (i.e. a high school player that took awhile to develop like Jermaine O'Neal).

I found it interesting to see some of the value in the second round and at the end of the first, especially in presumed weaker drafts. That 96 draft was absolutely loaded top to bottom. I mean 13-17 of that draft was crazy with Kobe, Nash, Peja, JO (tony delk was 16). I can't imagine there will be 4 players that good in that range in the same draft ever again.
