We have a thing few other teams have: experienced, learned, great veterans, i.e. KG and JO. You know KG loves the game. The bigs that draft predictions project us to land all have potential but are somewhat raw. I think we can't go wrong with drafting big because we have great teachers and, when it comes to that, they can just be more bodies if they are busts.

I hope we draft Jeremy Tyler.

montross and mosio say hi.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

All it takes to go wrong drafting bigs is to draft the wrong bigs.

not realy. we can really use a big body, the draft for us is actually a win win situation, i would rather trade the pick for a vet but who ever we get with the 25th i dont expect them to be in the rotation anyway. i agree with the BPA because bigs with experience can be signed for the vet min

our hopes and dreams shouldnt depend on this draft at all, though it would be nice to land a sleeper.

If we want to win now its best to get veteran bigs...most rookie bigs either take a season or two to develop or just don't turn out to be whats expected. We can't afford to have a situation like the Heat had with Dexter Pittman(rookie) sitting in street clothes all season.

TP.

Exactly.

And if your goal is simply to get a 7-foot body, you don't need to waste a draft pick on that.  We can get veterans at the minimum of NBADL guys.

While I wouldn't mind them slightly overlooking the "take the best player" model and taking a big man that might be slightly inferior to a guard, I don't want to see them leave a rotation player on the board to take a big stiff.

Here's my list of possible PF and C's that we might could afford depending on the new CBA.These are players from the eyeball test i could see as good backups.

        Power Forwards
 1.Chuck Hayes(2.3mil)unrestricted
 2.Carl Landry(3mil)unrestricted
 3.Luc Mbaha Moute(.9)unrestricted

          Centers
1.Kyrlo Fesenko(1.1)unrestricted
2.Aaron Gray(.9)unrestricted
3.Kwame Brown(1.3)unrestricted
4.Hamed Haddadi(1.8)unrestricted

Sure, you can go wrong if they are not good players.  A quality NBA guard is much more valuable and will do a lot more for this team going forward than a big man who washes out of the league in 3 years.
