Rebounding, they are about equal. The stats are skewed because Dirk plays on the perimeter
How so Dirk guards Cs/PFs exclusively. This means that his defensive rebounding shouldn't be effected by his perimeter offensively play.
His defensive rebounding numbers efforts are even worse than his poor offensive rebounding. Dirk is chronic with poor box outs and weak efforts that allow other players to scoop up offensive boards even if he himself wouldn't have gotten there.
In no way or shape is Dirk an equal to Tim Duncan when it comes to rebounding, especially as he's gotten older.
Dirk is a power forward who plays like a small forward. Offensively and Defensively he plays on the perimeter. He still averages 8.4 rebs a game, which ain't bad. Duncan is a power forward who plays like a center. He's always in the paint and able to get all of those rebounds
This isn't true, Dirk has never guarded SFs for extended periods of time. He has always taken the PF/C as his assignment depending on who is the lesser offensive threat.
Dirk hardly guards them in the paint. Ball swiping Chris Bosh in the Finals isn't guarding lol
So you are saying Dirk can not play defense against the big boys.
As a big man, Dirk can not mix it up down low.
Advantage, Duncan.
As for teammates, Nash, Kidd, Terry, Finley, Jamison, Walker...
Both have had strong teams.
