My main issue with Lebron was his "Decision" and how he went about it. He did in fact apologize for it, but the lateness of the apology again cast some doubt into the sincerity of it. Surely he must know this and hopefully learn from what happened.
With that being said, sure I'd love him in Celtics Green. No man is beyond help or saving, and folks should be given second (or third) chances.
My hope is that one day Lebron will get past the psychological part of this game and life. And I believe he will.
He has yet to achieve any championships, but it is undeniable that he possesses tremendous potential, and has in fact had it on full display at times during his career.
I have no doubt that with our players around him, plus occasional visits from Celtics Greats such as Bill, Cousy, Havlicek, etc - that couldn't hurt either. He'd have to fit in and become part of the team - and not bigger than it. While it is hard, at least initially - to see Lebron doing that, I cannot cast judgement on him and say that it couldn't happen.
I have a healthy respect for Lebron right now, and if he were a Celtic Tomorrow?
Sure I'd accept him and love him over time as a player - as long as he fit in. I believe that he would.
