Just an FYI for those who think JR Smith is a realistic target; he made $6.7m last year, or more than the MLE.  He's in the prime of his career where his salary should be increasing not decreasing.

Wilson Chandler is due for a huge raise and will certainly get more than the MLE.

Danny needs to go after someone like DeAndre Jordan (R) or Dalembert

I'm confused about how much DeAndre Jordan is going to get next year. On one hand, its Sterling. He wouldn't give a max contract to a prime Michael Jordan. On the other hand, DeAndre and Blake are known friends, and if Jordan leaves, Blake could be close behind.

Alright then take Kaman off their hands; but I am not sure we have what it takes to get Kaman since that would have to be a sign and trade.

Kaman or Jordan would be nice. The only thing is Kaman is going to make 12 mil next season, but after that his contract runs up.

TP

If they are considering a trade for Andre Igodala (rumor) that would be out of our price range.

Kris Humphries probably a more likely target.

Not really the kind of names that could make a big difference. Although if some of these big men can come for the minimum (Jeff Foster, Alexis Ajinca, Joel Prysbilla) why not.

If the Celtics will have an option to spend on MLE (provided the new CBA allows them), it's should be for someone who can make a big contribution.
