Add some 3 point shooting, someoneone who can guard wade off the bench and most importantly get a center somehow . I like the c's chances to get back to the finals.

They just need to rest the big 3 in the regular season and have a healthy Rondo in the playoffs .

I think Jamal Crawford would really help the c's offense like barea does for Dallas.

or someone like that who can be instant offense and create off the dribble.

ya, dallas winning the finals puts alot of the "Blow it up" calls from fans to rest...Rondo dislocating his elbow really is what put that series out of reach for us...he's our most important player at facilitating the offense

if Rondo and the big 3 are healthy next year, we add a center and get some solid production out of our bench....we can take out the heat and get back to the finals..

Ray allen and paul pierce had their most productive years, and chances are they wont decline much this off-season and Rondo is only going to be better next year.

Off Season:

Celtics need legit Center an athletic one (Sam Dalembert)
Celtics need Rondo to develop a 3point shot (a miracle)
Celtics need a scorer off the bench (JR Smith)

adjustments:

Celtics need Pierce to be The #1option once again
Celtics need Rondo to not dominate the ball like he does.
Celtics need add zone to their defense (Doc hates zones)

We need to add two more legit post players to really beat Miami.

Help defense is so extremely crucial.  Tyson Chandler is the reason Wade and LeBron were unable to get easy baskets throughout the series.  They were able to score those at-will against us.

Rondo doesnt need to develop a 3 poitn shot. he just needs to develop his midrange jumper....he improved this year percentage wise with that shot

but if he can knock that down consistently that's another weapon in his arsenal and will make him really a deadly threat to teams...It will come to him eventually...I see him being better next season...his game has improved each season and i dont see it stopping now

and ya, having athletic bigs to help guard the paint is important in beating the heat. Lebron and wade are streaky jumpshooters so you have to keep them out of there..

I disagree. Rondo does need to develop a 3point shot. Just the threat of him knocking down the 3point shot opens up Celtics spacing. Rondo with a 3point shot is a conundrum for opposing teams. It will take his game to the next level, and changes the dynamic of this team.

Jamal Crawford would be a real nice pickup along with 2 solid bigs.   Part our problem is our offense gets stagnant at times and Crawford would really help that with the second unit.

If he can make stop and pop shots 10-15 feet out he would be amazing.  He just needs something where his defender has to stay on him.  I think a 3pt shot is asking a little much when he doesn't feel comfortable shooting free throws or mid range jumpers.

I would say at the begining of this season we were just as deep as DAL.  But we had more injuries during the season, and for next year some of our guys aren't coming back (Shaq which is huge).  So I don't see us being on par with them for next year unless we can pickup some decent talent this offseason.

I disagree. Rondo just needs to develop his shot period, especially mid-range to keep opposing defenses honest instead of daring him to shoot and covering the rest of our guys 5 on 4. We've already got a couple of 3 point shooters on our team including the best ever. If Rondo ever becomes a threat to efficiently score, we'll have more open guys as defenses finally have to converge on him instead of laying off and keeping all our other options covered.
The Celtics aren't quitters. Why should you be? - blind homer

One thing - Rondo didn't dislocate his elbow.  Wade did that.  I think it's better not to play into the media mythology that it kinda happened by itself.

The main thing we need is for Rondo to be a better shooter.  He doesn't have to be a three point shooter.  And we need him to dominate the ball more, if anything, but more effectively.

I could see Rondo developing a hook too.

I agree with what most people said above

Rondo MUST have a jump shot to be more effective. His only weakness are his FTs and his lack of shooting ability, adding those 2 would make him more dangerous to guard in the future.

adding a Center is crucial. "Change" was right when he said Sam Dalembert

if hes willing to sign for a year thatll be awesome. The whole thing about Yao and Greg Oden isn't great. We need someone who can guard and NOT injury prone

Jamal Crawford would also be a nice pickup because of his scoring ability. Our bench lacked scoring this season.

Another big should be added because I think BBD will walk (thank god). Or use him as trade bait

With a full training season, I think Jeff Green will come back a better player

I saw an interesting article earlier. A good asset would actually be Mike Beasley. He is a great second option to KG and would help limit Garnett's minutes. We would trade BBD and AB for Beasley. Then sign Sammy Dalembert and draft a young long shooting guard and i think we're set
