I really don't think so ... I don't think that's what this Celtics team is about. I think they're focused on Banner 18 and whatever they need to do to acquire it, not about getting revenge on any one team. I think that's the wrong place for their heads to be, and I think they know that as well as anyone.

I don't think they're thinking revenge against Miami.  I think they just want another shot at the title next year regardless of who they play.

I think the 3  keys will be:
1)  Rondo developing a consistent jumper out to 18 feet and getting his FT% over 70%.  I couldn't help watching what Barea was doing to the Heat with his ability to dribble/penetrate/shoot.  Rondo can do the first 2 much better but he really needs to be able to shoot.

2) Danny assembling a bench that can contribute consistently.  I'm not sure how he'll manage it with so many holes to fill and limited options to do so.  So many needs on this team.  At least 2 centers that can defend, rebound and are at least a threat to score around the basket.  A shooter or two off the bench that Doc will actually play.  A really solid wing defender.

3) Doc has to get smarter at coaching.  Carlysle showed what good coaching was (I've always thought he was a really good one the C's should have hired instead of Doc).  Defense is great but a team still has to score and this team has been pitiful the past 2 years when coming down the stretch of games and they can't find a way to score.  That's partially on the players but mostly on Doc because it's not like PP, Ray and KG had issues scoring before they played for him.

Agreed.  Not sure #1 is going to happen though.  How many years has it been that Rondo has been trying to improve his shooting, to no avail?

We need a point guard that can knock down shots and hit free throws, and won't cause the other team to double our other guys because they don't have to defend the point guard.  See the impact Berea had against Miami.

Dallas had a better offense than the Celts during the regular season and in the playoffs and Rondo played half the Miami series with one arm, but the Celts offense was *better* against Miami with Rondo playing than Dallas's was with Barea playing.

But the Celtics couldn't space the floor because of RR's inability to knock down shots ... healthy or otherwise. Only Pierce is capable of creating his own shot off the dribble and Miami was quick enough to close and trap him hard, which forced some bad shots and turnovers. Dallas had a few more options who could put the ball on the floor and finish or get fouled.

Miami will own us next season. This team is done, cooked, boiled, rung out, old, tired. Let's get on with the retirement party and get it over with. Rondo is not the one to build around. The Big 3 made him look like a Superstar.

No more rabbits in DA's hat. Get ready for 5 years of mediocrity. Twas a good run. Paid the Fiddler, now it's time to pay the Band.
