Bad trade for Philly. Talk about setting Jrue Holiday back a step. He's their brightest prospect, and he's going to lose at least a quarter of his touches.

I was always dubious of Iggy's contract, and there's an element to his offense that remains erratic and certainly won't improve in GS since they have an eternal green light. Seems like a good deal for both teams from the perspective of Iggy's defense helping the wounded warriors, and Ellis coming up big in crunch time ... a trait no Sixer could muster in the Miami series

Sixers should at least get a 1st round pick from GSW, then it's a fair trade, this means Thornton would be available this summer,they have Iggy and Wright.
For the Sixers they save rougly 6 million over the next 2 years without losing much talentwise.

Yeah im not a huge fan of it for Philly. Ellis might be the better player but Iggy is the better fit in Philly. Id be leary of how Holiday, Williams, and Ellis would work together. Plus, I like the back court of Curry and Ellis in GS for some reason. I wouldnt be surprised to see a third team become involved.

I understand the impulse to move Iggy with Turner there to move into his role. But Turner needs to handle the ball to be effective and so does Holiday. Will Ellis allow for that to happen?

Yeah, I just don't see how Ellis helps them.  They need either a shooter from the wing, or another big guy.  Ellis just takes the ball out of Holiday and Turners hands.  

Perhaps a third team will step in though, sending either a big man (maybe one of the Utah bigs?), or a shooter like Granger or Gay to Philly.

Good idea -- although, I'd use Monta Ellis as a PG alongside Joe Johnson in the backcourt. Go big on the perimeter instead of going small.
