Don't get me wrong his block numbers are impressive for a 22 year old, but other than dunks he is offensively inept.

Remember that just because rondo is there doesn't mean Jordan would get 5 alleys a game. He's currently with one of the best alley oop teams in the league and only averages 7ppg

Lets also remember that Rondo is best known for throwing Alley-oops to KG.  The reason he is able to do that is because KG is such a threat from the perimeter, that it allows him to sneak in backdoor when guys overplay him.  That won't happen with a guy like Jordan.

He threw quite a few alley-oops to Shaq, who's not a threat from the perimeter. He'll hit Green with quite a few when they get their timing down. Anybody that can get to the rim will get the pass.

While not young or athletic, I think beginning of the season Shaq gave us an idea of what this team can be with a big who can finish around the rim...its not surprise that Rondo's assist numbers jumped, and the offense opened up as teams had to defend for shaq putting the ball in the hole if they strayed to stop Ray, pp, kg....Rondo is an offensive minded centers best friend...Alleyoops all game

IMO, we are a scoring 2, and an athletic big for the 4/5 from being competitive...whiel we did lose to the heat in 5 games, we did IMO give them a bigger fight than the bulls...and our loss could be attributed to poor Bench play, our big 3 being gassed at the end of games, injuries to rondo and our bigs...I feel pretty confident we have another year in us..I dont see PP/RA dropping off...but we need someone to compliment KG

I'm pretty sure other bigs around the league took notice.  Rondo is going to make some lucky big a 30 ppg scorer some day.

good post, ive been thinking of that lately, I think without Rondo, Shaq wouldve been injured a lot earlier. Most baskets he scored as a celtics were easy passes by Rondo and Pierce.

too bad, recent posts of Dwight make me lose hope to getting him.

Though I want the Celtics to draft Andre Drummond. I like that kid and think he has a HUGE potential. Pretty sure him and Rondo will be great together

Haha generally the #1 ESPNU recruit has potential.
