Draftexpress.com has us taking this young man.  I was impressed with his interview.  He seems to have nice leadership skills and he is rather stocky for a PG at 6'3" and almost 220 lbs.  He would be a real change of pace backup for Rondo IMHO.

Thoughts?

P.S.  I would be surprised to see Danny go PG or small SG with our first rounder.

I like Jenkins and the other two-way guards as well, Darius Morris and Reggie Jackson.

I'm convinced that Avery Bradley can score for the Celtics, possibly in microwave fashion, from the 2-guard spot.  Therefore, I'd like to see him play with Delonte at the 1 this year, and possibly one of these other dudes in the future if Delonte ends up our starting 2-guard one day.  So, one of Jenkins, Morris or Jackson can come in and do his first year on the bench/d-league thing, learn the Celtics system and prepare for the long slog into rotational minutes....

My overall first choice would be one of the project centers Tyler or Nogueira for way down the line (though sometimes a project can turn into situational rebounder/defender more rapidly than anyone would  have guessed)

and my second choice would be one of the 3 guards above..

Avery's going to have to make a dramatic leap to become an NBA scorer.  He was a mediocre scorer at D-league level and a terrible one in the NBA (36% TS%).

I don't see us drafting a 1 or a 3, we're already stacked at the point guard position so it doesn't make any sense that we would draft Charles Jenkins or Reggie Jackson. These mock draft websites are pure speculation in the latter stages of the first round. If I had to predict the pick at 25 I would say Jajuan Johnson or Jeremy Tyler. We have to be patient with Bradley and give him a chance to develop.

Count me in the group that's hoping he goes with a big.  Tyler, Johnson, or Leuer seem like nice prospects.  I'm also inriqued by the ex-fat kid from Maryland.  I'd even look at Tristan Thompson or Justin Harper, although I'm not sure those guys are fours in the NBA.

Noguiera is interesting, but I'm a little concerned about that ridiculously skinny frame. Maybe, Vucevic will still be around.  I'm not really sure, but I think there might be enough options for Danny to pick a winner at #25.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas

C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I don't see Danny going for a PG in the draft.  He's got Rondo and Bradley under contract and the inside track for resigning Delonte and Arroyo.

Danny will do what he always does when he drafts and take BPA.  Having said that, if the BPA at the time he picks isn't a big man, I'm sure he'll either get upperclass SG that might be able to put in a few minutes a game to spell Ray or possibly get a SG/SF swingman to slide in for Ray and PP.

I think Danny will go for a little more experienced player this year rather than a project.  I could be wrong obviously but I think if he's taking a last run with this group and he has limited funds to restock the bench, I think he'll try to get someone that could contribute from the draft.
