What the hell happened to Wright?  He's been in the league for 3 or 4 years now and still doing absolutely nothing...  I'd take a chance on him, for sure.

I think anyone who watched a good deal of UNC basketball that year could've told you that those stats weren't indicative of his play. I was never the lease impressed with Brandon Wright's play in college, and he's projected exactly how I thought he would.

How about a sign and trade with Baby Davis for Anthony Randolph!

If the wolves end up taking Derrick Williams. I dont see where the Wolves would need a player like Randolph. They would have Beasley,Love, Derrick Williams,Wesley Johnson and Kahn loves Darko, so along that front line, I dont see where Randolph fits in.

I think we should try and make a play at Randolph, and try and trick Minny into taking Baby with the idea of getting Kahn to believe he is adding a veteran with Championship experience that will help Minny get to the Finals.

BBD is undervalued on this forum.

Any young player needs to learn consistent play.

You just don't trade away players after a rough period of play including an injury stint.

If you can get BBD back on a reasonable contract, why not?

Like it, dont love it, but I would take anything over Big Baby right now, and as Thomas wouldnt be the ideal player he would certainly be a nice improvement. hes young, athletic, and energetic, and he still hasnt hit his potential yet.

Because he is a cancer. Baby had spurts of decent play throughout the year but he really isnt that great. He is a block hole on offense. Once he gets the ball its not going to be passed to anyone, no matter what the defense throws at him, he is over weight, has no above the rim game, gets blocked way too often and is a poor defender. He is good at taking charges which is a good thing, the only good thing really. He is selfish, doesnt play with the team, and takes waaaay too many jump shots, we need a much better back up PF if we want to contend for a championship.

Agreed. Not enough credit is given to his defense and if he plays within himself good things always happen. Plus they own his BR. Unless there's a S/T, or maybe packaged with the Quis TPE to a team wanting to shed salaries, he may opt for the veteran raise.

Completely disagree.  I was a senior at UNC when Wright was a freshman so watched a lot of games.  He was similar to Ed Davis with a better jumpshot.  I didn't think he would be a stud, but he definitely should be a productive player.  After all, the Warriors traded a proven, fringe all-star player in Jason Richardson for him on draft night.  I think, at some point, Wright will find his way in the NBA.

Wright - 6'9" 210
Davis - 6'10" 215

Ed Davis averaged 8 pts, 7 rebs for Toronto in his rookie year.

This is the same guy that got all the credit in the world for defending guys like D. Howard, etc. off the bench (even with the huge size mismatch) just a couple of years ago.

The Davis is a "black hole" while that may be true, it is a bad rap for him.

Davis isn't supposed to be a playmaker on our team. He is supposed to be a "finisher" or an "ending".

Davis is suppose to play off of our Big 4. This is why he gets the ball a lot for open shots or late in the game clock....the defenses are collapsing and scheming to stop our Big 4.

I haven't heard much of Davis being a cancer to the team or the locker room. He doesn't get a long with Doc all that well...but so hasn't Rondo in his early career and so hasn't Pierce.

Am I the only one who doesn't think Tyrus Thomas is any good?

No

He seems to have a slightly higher basketball IQ than Gerald Green.....

Slightly

Perhaps we can convince Ed Pickney or Marty Conlon to come out of retirement.  I'm betting that a S&T is likely not going to happen either  :-\

I like Thomas. He's certainly a knucklehead, but he's an athletic freak with a good jumper and is fantastic defensively when he wants.

Wright has actually looked good when he's been on the court that I've seen. He's just been hurt constantly.

I think that was mainly GS getting out of Richardson's contract.
