Linked from ESPN this morning:

Iguodala and the #16 pick to Minnesota for Flynn, Webster, Tolliver, and the #2 pick.

Thoughts? Philly would probably do it, but would Minni?

If they think Iggy is the "veteran" that they need, they'll go ahead. Anything is possible when it comes to David Kahn.

Should we try to get in on this? If there is any truth to this rumor should we at least consider giving up one of our vets to quicken the rebuilding phase?

The Celtics might be able to shoehorn JO's contract into the deal to reroute one or two of those players to Boston.

Something like this:
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3beflxm

Boston might have to send a draft pick to Philly, I think.

That's a good question. Unless they view Williams as a SG?

He might simply be in there to make the contracts even out.

This is probably not a good idea for Minnesota but then again how else are they going to get a max player than through trade? Maybe Iggy could teach Beasley to play defense.

I think that'd be a horrible trade for Minny.  They're still in the acquiring legit talent phase.  Iggy will not remotely get them over the hump.  Grab the best player available and continue your build.

A move like the one mentioned reminds me of the Joe Johnson for Rodney Rogers and Delk move.  That gets you nowhere unless your bar is so low that merely making the playoffs is a giant deal.

I don't know, I think you're underrating Iggy.  I think there is a very strong chance he is by far the best player in the trade.  Williams is a nice prospect, but he is nowhere close to a sure thing, and the chances of him ever becoming even as good as Iggy are not great.

I actually think this is a pretty good trade for both teams.  The Wolves give up a marginal asset, and get a guy who fits in well with their team needs.  He can run the offense in the half-court as a point forward, and if they bring over Rubio, he would be a great running-mate on the break.

If this were a stronger draft, I would understand the hesitation to give up a pick like that, but in this draft, that is not bad value to get a proven player, who is really just entering into his prime.

I think the Flynn part is weird. Not that he's that good, but Philly has Holiday and Lou Williams so they don't need flynn, and Minny needs PG bodies. Maybe it'd be Beasly instead?

Holiday + Turner + D.Williams + Brand + player Z

Lou Will + player X + Thaddeus Young + player Y

Nice rotation in the making. Add a quality defensive five and a good backup big and off you go.

Iggy would be a valuable addition to the Wolves. His defensive ability would do wonders for that team.

I would rather take my chances with Derrick Williams. Hope on potential rather than take a guy who is a third option on a title contender (like K-Love is).

Flynn may simply be salary filler to make the numbers work. He does have value; Philly could flip him.

I can't see Minnesota including Beasley in a deal that also sends out the #2. Kahn shot down that other rumor about Beasley, Rubio, and the #2 for Granger.

I'd like to see that deal happen.  Just to shake things up, and maybe it would work out well for both teams.  But I wouldn't risk that deal if I were Minny.  What if Derrick Williams long range touch turns out not the least bit flukey?  Then you've got a big bad SF or a heck of a stretch 4.
I think I'd keep Williams and trade Beasely for Nick Young or something along those lines if I were Minny.  Also, trade Wes. Johnson to Boston for Big Baby...... 8)
