Okay okay, I know, I said trade paul pierce...its just a thought.....
But  what if we could trade paul pierce and our first round pick to utah for their first round (3rd overall) pick?

For the Jazz:
C:Al Jefferson/Mehmet Okur
PF:Paul Millsapp/Derrick Favors
SF:Paul Pierce/CJ Miles
SG:Raja Bell/Gordon Hayward
PG: Devin Harris/whoever
-and they still have the 12th overall plus the celtics 25th pick

For Celtics:
-move up draft board to possibly get derrick williams, but prly Enes Kanter,Jonas Valanciunas, or who i like ALOT Bismack Biyombo!
-free up $$$$ cap space to get younger; go after jr smith, a shannon brown, aaron brooks, daequan cook, Nene, Oden, or Jonas Jerebko....are some names I like.

I would like to see paul pierce and Kg and ray ray retire as celtics, but i dont want the celtics to get screwed over while waiting on them. As the team sits now, I think they are a decent playoff team but thats about it, they need somebody else(unless Green steps up).
This is just an idea lol whats your thoughts?

Paul Pierce isn't leaving the Celtics.

Mediocrity here we come. Any chance that draft pick becomes a hall of famer?

Though I wouldn't like the trade anyway, NBA trades aren't so easy.  C's would need to take back most of Pierce's salary number from the Jazz -- negating the idea that we could get anywhere near freeing up cap space.

BTW -- even without Pierce's full cap number next season, we'd still be over the cap.

I would trade Paul Pierce for the rights to Derrick Williams (+ cap filler, probably Okur).

I wouldn't do this deal otherwise. Not enough sure-fire talent available at #3 if Williams isn't there.

I agree that The Truth prly wont get traded, it was just an idea that crossed my mind and im not sayin i necessarily want him traded either.

But I do like Bismack Biyombo and I think he might be a great fit at center even tho he would be small for a center. BUT the draft is pretty weak!!!

For me, it would have to more like PP, JO, and 2 picks for Big Al and their #2.

So many question marks with everyone in this draft not named Williams or Irving. In addition to the whole Celtic for life thing, Paul was still top 5 at his position in the league this year. I think Paul's got 2 more years as an elite player.
