I have very little interest in Reggie Evans. He can't play defense and he can't play offense. Nice rebounder but a complete liability on either end of the floor.
I'd rather snare his teammate Joey Dorsey who can both rebound and play defense.
Really like how quick Dorsey is to the ball; I remember him running circles around Shaq earlier this year. I remember he was likened to Ben Wallace, minus some of the athleticism, coming out of Memphis.
Do Danny and Doc ever pursue this type of player though? Looking at the big men rotations of the Danny/Doc era, rebounding seems to be pretty low on the totem pole of vital big men characteristics. Raef, Blount, Scal, Gomes, Sheed, Baby, Jermaine, Erden: some very poor rebounding big men have seen heavy rotation minutes on our teams, good and bad.
Leon Powe/PJ Brown was the only solid rebounding back-up big combination that I can remember us fielding, and both brought more to the table offensively than a guy like Dorsey.
