It's amazing how folks continue to fantasize about Green being the cause of all our problems, and Baby being the EVIL ONE who is the cause of all our problems!!!!
Baby was an important player for us most of this season. Both he and Green seem very confused about their roles after The Trade, for good reason. The Trade itself confused matters, making it seem that in midseason, the Celtics were trying to change their approach, looking to go small, wanting to somehow match up better with the Heat's strengths, rather than play to the Celtics' strengths. No one was really sure what exactly was Ainge's intention.
But on one thing I agree with this post. The Celtics clearly should have attacked the basket against the Heat. Instead, they settled for jumpers a lot of the time. It was a losing formula.
I don't think the issue was youth. Youth becomes an issue when age fails to play to its strengths. We played without passion and focus and we didn't play smart. We could have beaten the Heat.
