At the risk of being 'that guy', I'm finding it hard to believe that Indiana isn't an almost unanimous decision as best run n gun team.

Question for everyone:  How many NBA champions are on your roster?

Follow up:  Do you know how many Denver has?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Your bigs are unanimous, but I think my perimeter players close that gap easily.  Especially with Steve Nash trying to guard Robertson (LOL!).

We all know that the game seems to slow down in crunch time.

Who thinks they have the best half-court set/lineup and why?

I'd say LA does.

Not only will we be tough defensively, but offensively we're no slouches, either.

1st option is always to toss it into the post to Captain Skyhook and let him test the defense.

Then he can toss it out to KG at the top of the key, or Worthy on the wings. Worthy was one of the quickest SF's in the history of the game, so unless Dennis is on him he will go by most SF's.

If Kareem tossed it out to KG, he could easily nail a mid-range J, or slash to the basket (like in number 4 or 5):

For the years I chose for Kareem, Worthy and KG they averaged around nearly 15 assists between them, so sharing the ball and ball movement and not forcing anything would be easy for them.

Additionally, Ralph Sampson off the bench had the athleticism to work on the outside as well.

We'd use JO or Elton in more traditional settings as a PF or C. Their work was more paint-related.

Don't forget Doc's innovated lineups, too. I'm sure he'd utilize Michael Cooper or Eddie Jones from deep in some settings, with no drop off from defensive intensity.

Also - I tooted my own horn in stating that LA has the best lineup ;D.

While I think my halfcourt set/lineup is among the best, any team that has Magic or Larry has got to be up there, with Michael closely behind.

I give Larry and Magic the slight nod here because they were so gifted in running an offense.

EDIT: I'd have to place Michael (And Dirk, of course) up there with Larry and Magic, too - those two together would be a handful in a half-court set.

I'd feel optimistic vs PHI, though, because more than likely Dirk would draw KG's attention and Dumars would draw Michael's. KG would more than likely be  able to slow Dirk down somewhat and make Dirk work on defense as well, but while Dumars would slow down Michael I think we'd need someone to pick up the offensive slack for Dumars.

I don't think KG would have much drop off offensively from chasing Dirk around, even though he'd be worn out at the end of games.

Every Denver player has one.

Miami has 7. We do have 2 Finals Mvps, while Denver has zero.

I don't see how your perimeter players (shooting guard and small forward) gain any traction. At best, its a wash.

I stated for me it's the lakers, but to other owners:

Is there a team out there that you think is a particularly tough match up for your team? Just a single team that really seems to match up with you particularly well.

If not, please spare us the boasting and talk about how you love your team. WE GET IT

Tough matchup for LA?

That's nearly all the teams here, IMO.

The teams with Michael, Larry and Magic...the teams with Shaq, Moses, Wilt and Hakeem, especially.

Any team with Bill Russell wouldn't be an easy out, either.

Those top 7 are certainly beatable for me, but we'd have to cycle through our lineups to limit each player's impact, and that is where our strength lies.

Doc would be busy and he'd be hoarse at the end of these games, but I think he is certainly among the best at recognizing mismatches that opponents present and reacting accordingly.

Also, I don't see how anyone would make the argument that Steve Nash is #2 on anyone's Run N Gun All-Time list. 2 time MVP Steve Nash?

Head of the most consistently excellent offense in the last decade Steve Nash?

Come on meow. Its not an affront to anyone in the history of the NBA to crown Nash the king of the run n gun.

For me, The Lakers would be a tough matchup. Portland and Chicago.

Here's another question for those owners who deign to grace us with their presence this morning: When you look at your team, how deep is your rotation in your mind?

Yeah, yeah..I get that its matchup dependent...but realistically are you seeing a 10man rotation, or are you seeing more of a 7-8 man unit?

For me, I'm looking at a 10-11 man rotation on most nights, with Latrell and Brand getting some spot minutes as needed.

What would be your rotation come playoff time?  10-11 is a bit much and unorthodox in that situation.

What would your 8 man rotation look like?

For me, I have 4 NBA champions on my roster, 5 if counting entirety of career.

3 Finals MVPs in starting lineup, though.

It would have to be nine man rotation, for me - at the least.

Question for everyone:

In an exercise like this, how much do you value 'Championship Experience'?

Personally, I've always somewhat ignored the 'championship' part of it and looked at how they competed when they were in the playoffs or championship game.
