Like the Alvin Robertson pick a lot.

I still think people are sleeping on a lot of the 70s and 80s guys and going with the more current "names" while some the higher talents of the old days fly under the radar.

Guess that's to be expected.  Just a shame.

We're going high flyer again with our 12th round pick. He's an 8 time All Star, in 00-01 he was 2nd team All NBA with 27.6 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 3.9 apg, 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks, he shot 41% from 3 and had a TS% of 55%. This team is so stacked that we're making him our half time show!!

With pick 12.2 the Celtics select:

Vince "Half Human/Half Amazing" Carter

Here's a preview of the show:

You can't stop the Vinsanity!!KG's expression is priceless!
Amazing!

I'll speak for myself on this one:

Not having seen a lot of these players play frequently makes it really difficult for me to draft them.

After getting Russell - Barkley - Wade as a foundation, I've kinda been drafting for fit. And it's tough to look at players stats, a bio and if you're lucky some highlights on youtube and assess if they'd "work."

Ha, Detlef was one of the defensive 3's I was talking about when I picked Rice. Definitely could've lived with Pawnee's #1 basketball player
Defensive SF? Not so much, every SF with good quickness blew by him with ease. He didn't have enough quickness to defend on the perimeter (SF) and not enough size to defend the post (PF).

Excellent complementary offensive player as a third / fourth option (hugely efficient / intelligent) + a strong rebounder ... but the man was a poor defender.

Alvin Robertson is a very nice player. Top defensive player who'll limit opponents and create extra possession for your team at either backcourt position.

I thought the Vince Carter pick was excellent too.

Indiana Pacers trade Eddie Jones to the LA Lakers for Dan 'Marjerle And Me'.

Question - we're using today's NBA rules, correct - as far as the physicality and fouls are concerned?

I'm looking at a particular player - some may guess as to who he is - but I seriously doubt that many of his antics would - say - "Go over too well" with David Stern today?

IMO he'd probably get suspended in about a week, lol..
