With the 4th pick today, the Los Angeles Lakers select:

Big Game James!!

A Finals MVP and one of the quickest SF's out there. The familiarity with Kareem will reap many benefits for both.

He will fill much of the time at SF with KG getting some minutes there as well.

What the heck just happened?  I thought you wanted Redz' guy, which is why you backed out of the deal?

Worthy is a great selection, though.  I think you should have completed the trade, though.

Grant Hill!!!!  Finally.  Amazing pick.

Durant I think could have gone a little further.  His scoring is up there but I'd like to see his passing and defense improve.  I'd have gone a different with a modern scorer.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I like the Durant pick for Chicago.  Solid fit there.

No worries...see my PM. I didn't want to create any discontent.

I can go a different route with my selection, so no concerns from my end.

Yeah, a scorer / shooter of Durant's caliber is excellent for Chicago.

Jerry West and Kevin Durant on the wings supplied by Magic Johnson and Bill Walton. Those four will make some beautiful music.

A new challenger for the best offensive team.

BTW people I wasn't looking for a scorer, I was looking for a SF who could run the break and shoot three and yet pass and score as well. I was down between Hill and Durant but went Durant because he's a much better three point shooter.

Either one is a perfect fit for my team as far as I was concerned

I was holding the very same debate before either were selected and flip flopped on my position about 500 times.

Alright with my player I am getting a hardnosed scorer/shooter at the SF spot perhaps I can put him in the starting lineup and have Ray be my 6th man! but with my choice the Atlanta Hawks select

See, I think of Durant as a bit of a black hole, and that's why I think the fit is a little off (and Hill would be much better). Hill was (at the time) a better defender, passer, and a elite scorer (in that year of the NBA, not in the NBA as a whole).
