I know Edgar isn't a fan of lebron, but he will be very difficult for the SF's taken thus far to even slow down under modern rules.  For example, How is Larry going to keep lebron in front of him without hand checking?  Pippen would have the best shot, but I don't think he has the size or strength to keep lebron from posting him up. And you certainly can't double him or Moses is getting an open dunk or Bob is getting an open jumper which he will make.

I am surprised by all the Stockton love. I took him last year and in the same general spot and was crushed for it.

Crushed for it?  I know you traded up to get him last year, so I've got to think that the criticism was either aimed at what you gave up, or at your 2nd rounder.  I can't see what's not to like about Stockton.  He was a great passer, scorer, shooter, defender, he was efficient, etc.
crhushed was a bit harsh, but it wasn't exactly praised either. I like Stockton, but there are much better point guards still on the board at this point.

Pippen's size or strength isn't gonna keep LeBron from posting up, LeBron will do that.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

ha ha. Lebron backs people down all the time. That is what I was getting at.

I think LeBron is one of those rare players who, at least one-on-one, is pretty much not defendable. The only way to limit his game is to double-team him, and on a team with other stars, that means taking a big risk. When he was in Cleveland Doc approached it as letting LeBron mostly do his thing and get his thirty-or-so points, and shut everybody else down, and it worked most of the time. Now that he's on a team with D-Wade, that tactic is pretty much moot. The team you've got started is similar, and it's going to be hard to limit LeBron with the other talent you've got around him. Keep up the good work!

You make a good point...the only issue I would see with Lebron is with IMO every team constructed so far there is a strong defensive presence...it would be tough going for him in the paint in this draft.

I suspect it will get tougher. I am surprised that a few Bigs are still left.

Also - Larry was 2nd team Defense twice, I think. He would've made Lebron work, just a bit.

My team is shaping up much better than I was expecting out of the #11 slot. I have the #1 PF of all time, close to KG defensively and better offensively. I have the biggest hustler of all time and someone who could guard any SG or SF past or present and who had a complete game. I have the best defensive PG of all time and another guy who could do everything. I'm not sure I will get the best of anything all time with my next pick (4.2) but I have someone in mind who is going to put this team right at the top! Love me some CB Historical Celts :)

Gotta say I'm really happy with the Bulls so far.

Magic Johnson
Jerry West
Bill Walton

Gotta easily be the best passing trio so far. Excellent floor general. Unbelievably versatile 2 guard that can shoot lights out(had TS%s in the high 50s before the three point line was introduced and was an outside shooter). And perhaps the best passing center of all time(skills wise, I know Wilt once led the league) who was a defensive and rebounding beast in his prime while playing at a time when there were a bunch of Hall of Fame centers playing.

I love the fit between the three. Going to run the break like crazy and go with an offense that stresses ball movement in and out of the post.

You're probably not the only person who feels this way, but I love Stockton, and would rank him as high or higher than any PG left.

maybe is because the old size argument

I believe I have settled on my next pick. Still possible I might flip flop, but I think I'm there.

Did I mention how much I hate airports. Waiting for my fourth flight today and been up since 4 am. Long tiring day.

I'm a huge Stockton fan, and he was my other choice this round, (which I labored over). There is one guy left, though, (maybe two), that is definitely on his level at PG ... not better, but right up there for sure, and a different style. No way he'll drop to me, though. ;)

there is no way Larry has the lateral quickness to stay in front of lebron. Without handchecking and the physical play of the 80's for Larry to guard lebron.
