This has be a joke

I'm 100% serious.

Deng is having a career year. Sometimes I wonder if people watch other NBA games other than Celtics games.
I remember when I said we should go after Zac Randolph and people said PUKE/NO WAY etc but I'm thinking about younger replacements for our current team.
Gibson is a great 6th man and Deng is in my opinion one of the best defensive forwards (if not the best) in the league.
He can also create his own shot and hustles his behind off. He is fragile though as someone mentioned earlier.
Gibson is the lesser part of the trade and as I said, we could get even more for Ray+Pierce, maybe Asik aswell or a pick.

We ain't going anywhere further than the 2nd round with the current roster. Pierce cannot guard Carmelo then James then Deng or Joe Johnson next year- his legs will completely take him out of the game on offense from running around after these guys.

It's a suggestion and I feel that we need to get back to our defensive ways to have a chance against these younger teams for the next 2 years.

edit: forgot to add that our key issues will be guarding Lebron +Melo for the next 5 years at least.
Deng is one of the better candidates for this right now and an aging Ray allen is what the Bulls need. I doubt they would trade straight up Ray for Deng or Paul Pierce for Deng. Maybe Pierce plus picks or something.Doubt it.

Read that last line again. One more time.

Statistically he's had about 3 year better than his "career year". He's not a bad player, probably a little above average, but not better than PP right now.

anybody change their mind after seeing Deng vs Lebron today?

He could guard Lebron the entire game AND scored 21 points without getting tired.

Gibson was great too.

If they threw in a 3rd piece for us it would be a good move in my books.

The more I watch Gibson, the more impressed I am, and Deng's a baller.

Can't make that trade, though.  We'd have one of the worst half-court offenses in the league.

I've always liked Deng.  What an impressive performance by him in game one of the ECF.

Watching Deng play, I was thinking that this is exactly the type of player that Danny is hoping for with Jeff Green.  They are very similar.  They are both long, athletic guys who move well, can make shots and finish at the rim, but are not great creators of shots for themselves or others.

I think the question for Jeff Green is does he have the mentality to be a player like Deng.  I think their size, athleticism, and skill sets are very similar.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

The Bullz would never ever do that so it doesn't matter.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Taj isn't so much better than Glen Davis.  I'd need more

I wouldn't do the deal by any means, but Taj Gibson is a significantly better player than Baby.

No.  Neither player is a building block.  If we're going to kill our chances in the short term, I'd want a can't miss type of guy who might be able to lead this team somewhere in the future.
You don't consider Deng a building block? He's the 2nd best player on the ECF team.
I guess it will depend on how he handles Lebron in the ECF.
Seems like one of the best options as far as replacing Pierce for the long term is concerned.
Although the money is huge which I didn't consider.

#1 The Bulls haven't wont the EC yet.
#2 Boozer is the 2nd best player on the Bulls.
#3 Terrible trade idea.

I love the sudden value that taj Gibson has these days. He provides good energy off the bench and reasonable defense but he's really not that great. The effectiveness of the thibs system is making a lot of these guys seem better than they are.
