All I'm saying is that if you guys really think he is that much of an elite scorer than the friars would have won more game because of him.  He's also not a character guy.  I give him 3 years in the NBA tops before he heads over to europe.

No he played in the best conference in college basketball.  They had no size and no inside scoring.  That's not Brooks fault, in the big east if you don't have size you don't win plain and simple.  You just can't look at wins and losses, look at how many games Brooks kept providence in.  They lost to Cuse, St. Johns, Georgetown, Notre Dame all by single digits.  They beat Villanova and Louisville.  The national champs went 9-9 in Big East play, if you don't have multiple elite players you just don't win in that league.

Brooks would be great with our first round pick. I watch a lot of Big East basketball, and he was the top scorer in the league.

For second round, how bout Rick Jackson out of Syracuse? He's a great rebounder, but has an unpolished offensive game for a PF. Reminds me a little of Big Al.

He is Troy Bell reincarnated, I hope the celtics won't even consider the guy in the first round.  Maybe in the second round if he's available.

Well, Troy Bell was like 6'1", so I am not sure I see that comparison.

But he is sounding like he might not be a great target IMO.  Good SGs are hard to find, but gunners at that position are a dime a dozen.

Ok I'm sorry I should have added that he is a 6'4 reincarnation of Troy Bell...... You get what I'm saying.

6'5, but they aren't really similar.  Troy Bell did most of his scoring outside the perimeter and had no defensive ability.

6'5 maybe in high heals.  Don't ever believe the heights they post online for draft prospects.  Used to play some pickup ball with Marshon and he is a generous 6'4

You can say that about every player though.  He just measured a 7'2 wingspan, his long arms will help for whatever lack of height he has.

Alright I guess we should measure all basketball players abilities based on there wingspan and height...... You should definitely become an NBA scout.

You were the one that questioned his height. I was fine going with what ESPN has him listed as.

I have never questioned his size, I only question how his game will transfer over to the NBA.

The problem is, I think a 6'4" Troy Bell (with a big wingspan) is a quality NBA player.  The problem for Bell was that he was a SG in a PG body.

It sounds like this kid is a true shooting guard.  So, the question is whether he has the physical and mental makeup to play an all around game.

Right.  The kid is definitely a 2guard.  He has legit NBA size and he has the physical tools to succeed in the NBA.  The mental make up is the question and it's something that won't be shown until he gets into some 5 v 5 scrimmages.  He's impressed in 3 v 3 and in the drills so far which is a good thing.  He is going to have to show that he can play within a team of 5 and not be selfish all the time.  In Providence he had to be selfish, they just didn't have enough talent around him to win.  The guy put up 52 against Notre Dame and they still lost.  His situation reminds me a lot of the one which Landry Fields was in last year.  He had all the physical tools, he put up big numbers, but he played on a bad team.  Fields is now someone who I think most of us wish we drafted at 19 over Bradley.

we don't really have enough room for another guard.

Why?  We only have 2 wings signed through next year (Pierce and Ray).  Green could very possibly walk, and who knows what will happen with West and Wafer.  This team is not set at any position going forward other than perhaps PG (and they could still use a reliable backup).  They are really in a position where they should be looking at best player available.
