I'm saying that anyway you look at it Chris Paul is better for this team than Rajon Rondo.

Chris Paul is a superior player to Rondo in every aspect of the game. If the trade presents itself, you trade Rondo in a heartbeat.

This from a guy who thinks Delonte is a much better pg than Rondo.

OK, well, I think Rondo is a much better PG than Delonte, but I also think Chris Paul is on another level from Rondo.  If you can make that trade, then you do it.

He's right.  Chris Paul is far better than Rondo.  I don't know enough about his injury, though.  Wasn't Paul a little human this season?  I know he went back to being Chris Paul in the playoffs

Our main focus right now should be a Center ... a "true", athletic Center like Dwight Howard, we don't need a PG. And for those who want a new PG, a Center is far more important right now than a PG. I love Rondo and I like Delonte off the bench ... what do we have at Center for the future?!? Nothing.
After watching Miami kill us while playing most of the time with no center and one or two PF, I am surprised that you would think a center, any center, would be more valuable to us than Chris Paul.  If Miami doesn't need a center, why would we?

I like the OP trade (I posted it somewhere else).  I think it has potential for being good for both teams.  Variations that include a NO bad contract like Okafor are reasonable also.

Paul would make us better immediately just like Rose (who probably isn't as good as Paul) has made Chicago good.  Paul may well have his sights on NYK but I would love for Danny to explore this (I think he will do something "big" no matter what).

I am trying to remain calm. But I couldn't disagree more with some things being said about Chris Paul.

Rajon Rondo's ceiling is Chris Paul.

Rondo's a better defender and rebounder than Paul and arguably a better passer and ballhandler. Why would Chris Paul be Rondo's ceiling?

Hope I didn't get you overly excited, btw.

Chris Paul is above Rondo's ceiling.  Rondo will never be the shooter Paul is.

The rest, they are very similar.  Similar defender, passer and rebounders.

Rondo really doesn't have to be as good a shooter as CP3 to be a better player, just a decent shooter and foul shooter. He's better at getting to the rim, better rebounder, better defender and probably a better passer.

I'd agree that Paul is a better player than Rondo, but certainly not better in every aspect of the game.

I would trade everybody , and I'll throw in my OL LAdy and Momma in Law into the deal to get CP3.

To Get D12 , I'll toss my pay check , the whole Celtic team , Doc and Danny and my own Mother in to make him a CELTIC.

The economic boost, the whole franchise future, good lord people , does Boston want to be another Cleveland...... Heck NO

No more whinning and crying ...but but but....but LA they got Movie stars and weirdos, and all that yada yada yada crap.....Shaq fell for that ..not everybody thinks like him ...real players don't care about that load of ""

You've made this point before and it's still incorrect. Paul is at least, if not better, a better passer and ballhandler.

Compare Chris Paul to Rondo when they are both fully healthy and Chris Paul destroys Rondo in just about everything.

Fair enough.  But I am not sure that matters.  Basketball is not an individuals skill contest.  It is about who plays basketball better, and that is Chris Paul.

Chris Paul is not better than Rondo in every aspect. All this Rondo hate is getting annoying. I think Paul is the best point guard in the NBA, but give Rondo his due

Paul's strengths:
-Can dominate a game by scoring
-Consistency
-Doesn't disappear in games
-Can take people off the dribble better
-Near perfect execution down the stretch

Rondo's strengths:
-Rebounds better
-Walking triple double
-Better perimeter defender

Of course he doesn't. Only in scoring.

Sure, if the definition of incorrect is your having a different opinion.

Paul's 39% from the field and 27% on threes in the clutch are both well below average, not sure I'd call that "near perfect execution". Oh, and he gets to the rim less often than Rondo, not sure he's really better at taking people off the dribble.
