As much as I would like to sulk and try to forget about basketball for a long time because of the Celtics' elimination from the playoffs, I'll try to stay positive and move on. Maybe it's just not meant to be for us this year and next year it might be ours. But we should all be proud of this team no matter what. No excuses, we lost to a better team. I'm not going to talk about the offseason and what happens next, we have all summer (and maybe till January) for that.
So now I'd just cheer for another team, a team that I think deserves to (finally) win a championship - the Dallas Mavericks! After SA, LA and Boston, the Mavs are the last remaining 'old school' team in the playoffs. Nowitzki, Kidd, Terry, Marion and even Stojakovic are long-time vets who have worked so hard and went through a lot of frustrations to get to this point. This should be the year for vindication and retribution. Like the Celtics of '08, they have some future hall of famers who are so hungry for glory, and they deserve it, especially Dirk - one of my favorite players.. Unlike the current Celtics, they have superstars who deliver every game, and unlike the current Celtics, they have a very good coach who maximizes his players' abilities - from Nowitzki to Mahinmi (you get my drift!).. They are the most experienced, most talented and deepest team of the remaining contenders and barring any catastrophes, I'm sure they'd go all the way.

Let's Go MAVS!

Jason Kidd deserves a ring, he's one of the best PG's of all time and should have won atleast one MVP. (Kidd > Nash). I'll be routing for Jason for the rest of the season.

ALSO if Tyson Chandler wins with Dallas they can't let him go... therefore he can't go to the Knicks, Heat etc...

I'm for them too and maybe it wasn't Bostons time because it's Dirk's time. Jason Kidd personal business aside deserves a ring too. He's worked hard and should get one too with his fellow players in his era getting theirs already (Besides Nash)

Since LA is gone, I will root for ANY team to beat the CHeat! I don't care if it's the bulls and I don't like Joke Noah (he's a good player but UGH)! I didn't like the MAVS a few years ago but I don't have anything against them the last two seasons or so. GO MAVS (anyone but the CHeat)!!!!!!!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Doesn't really matter much to me, as long as it's not the Heat ... but I would love to see Nowitzki and Kidd get a ring before they retire ... that would be the next best thing to the C's. I wouldn't mind Memphis or OKC winning, but they'll have their day, they're two of the "Teams of the Future", IMHO.

Don't worry, them Heat won't even get past Da Bulls!
Thibs will avenge our defeat!  ;D
Like PP said, the Celtics beat themselves.. The heat didn't play that great, the Celtics just blew some opportunities late in games, and the injuries certainly didn't help as well..
The bulls will pound them inside, and Deng can handle lebron. And don't forget DRose-he'll destroy the heat's guards! I expect Spo to put Wade on him.
But in the finals, the Mavs will be too much for chicago!

I don't like any of the remaining teams in the East so, Go Mavs!

I wanted a Mavs-Celtics showdown when Lakers lost :(.

Yeah I hope the Mavs do it this year.

However, please god, let the Bulls crush the Heat.

Still not sold on them.

They are good but not as good as most people seem to think they are.

The only remaining team I can see them beating from the East is the Hawks.
