Well, we had a chance to draft him and picked JR Giddens instead.

Danny Ainge strikes again.  :(

Clippers saving cap space for a big FA pickup. There is a chance however slim it is Celtics can steal him.

DeAndre isn't a good enough offensive player to make a difference.  He couldn't take the burden off the Big 3.

If we could somehow get Nene and put him next to the starters, then we'd be in business.  What we need is a young center who can rebound and score 15+ points a night.  Unfortunately I don't see how that's possible.

Rondo 4 Chris Paul solves that. I think the Celtics will have to trade Rondo for a Point Guard with more scoring bunch.

we don't need offense out of the center position. we need a full-sized center who can rotate over on help defense to stop penetrators like Wade and LeBron and man up against scoring bigs like DH....and stay healthy.

I don't see how trading Jeff Green would get us him cause both of these guys are restricted free agents. We can sign them both to offer sheets, we can offer Green more and can match another teams offer but with Deandre we can only offer him MLE over multiple years.

keep in mind their could be a hard cap in place so who knows how that will change everything

that's very true, that will change how much money is available and well... just about everything. Will be interesting, hope the lock out doesn't happen and they get a new CBA signed.

Change, I hate to break it to you but CP3 ain't walkin' through that door.

He can force a Melo situation to NYC (supposedly where he wants to be). Why would he come here to play with our aging guys when he can go to NYC to and play with 2 all-stars in their prime?

If we had him, Danny would just trade him for two D-Leaguers and then tell us the following three months how good of a trade it was.

Isn't that basically what he did?

I don't see the C's getting Jordan.  They can't offer more than Knicks or the Heat and those teams are far more appealing to a young center looking for a chance to contend for titles

Bill Walker isn't a D-Leaguer, neither is Jeff Green...

But whatever it's cool.

everyone wants rondo traded after we just praised him for having one of the guttiest performances in celtics history? yes his jump shot needs a lot of work, but it has come along. I have no idea where this team might go after this year but I can't see us trading Rondo. Call it loyalty, but he is a big piece of our puzzle. I like our pg to be able to distribute and drive and dish. Doesn't have to score a lot, but does need to take smart shots.

Because Celtics can sign Dwight Howard in 2012. A long shot I know.

The Clippers would never trade anyone for Jeff Green, seeing as though they just spent a first round pick on a SF in Aminu. I'd love to have a guy like Jordan rebounding, blocking shots, and throwing down dunks, but i don't see how they can make a deal to get him. I think Dalembert is worth a look.

we'd probably have to trade Jeff Green to get him...not sure how else we could get him in here.

Where can I sign up for this?

$9 to $10 mil a year? how much would have perk cost?
well, water under the bridge right?

If there is a lot of interest for jordan the Clips may not want to/ be able to match. instead of watching him walk out the door they could get something in return vis sign and trade.

C's sign and trade Kristic and Davis to clips for Deandre jordan.

they get a back up for Kaveman and a solid 6th man type in Davis.
we get a huge young center with 'tude...

possible... not likely but possible.

Quite honestly I see the Clippers trading Chris Kaman's expiring contract and keeping Jordan. They are building a team around Griffin with youth and they know they are a couple years away. They have Griffin, Gordon, Bledsoe, Aminu and Mo Williams all locked up for a while and Jordan fits in quite well with the youth movement while Kaman just gets in Griffin's way and takes up bunches of salary cap. he's gone and thinking Jordan is going elsewhere is a pipe dream, IMHO.
