Either way, next season is going to be frustrating to watch.

If we blow up the team, we'll be getting pieces back that are nowhere near the caliber of the players we'd be giving away.

If we don't blow up the team, we'll just be watching our old team get older.

In my opinion, if you're a huge NBA fan like I am and just love to watch basketball regardless of the teams, you hope we blow this team up.  Nothing positive can come out of next season if the roster looks the same.  If this team looks the same, you might as well just call next season the "lifetime achievement season"

Virtually nothing

If you were to trade them to contenders or teams on the verge of contender status, you might be able to get in return a young player of some potential worth, at least.

Also, it would make the Celtics considerably worse, guaranteeing them higher draft picks in what promises to be a very solid draft class.

The bottom line is we don't want to waste 2-3 years of Rondo's career (which promises to be relatively short if he doesn't learn to shoot like Jason Kidd did) wallowing in the middle of the road as faux-contenders like the Spurs the last few years.

I'd totally be down with that, but I'm not certain the Celtics will be able to pull that off.  I'm also worried Danny will misguidedly hold onto Rondo.

To elaborate on my "No" answer, we need to find out what's up with Glen....the man seems to be trying, but he has not produced enough to help, especially compared to last year.

Looks like Boston played with KG and JO as the only bigs. Glen did have 4 pts tonight, but it just seems to me as if he played and produced much better last year.

Just sad that KG couldn't get it going offensively.

we certainly need to add a piece or two (maybe a PF through draft or free agency).

I guess the lack of rebounds in the 2nd half and overtime was missed by some.  With KP the Celts win this game easily.  So no I am not kidding, dumping your team to get a guy who does little if anything for your team and then adding throw away after throw away is very much "blowing up" a team.

I want Shaq out of town. I know Kobe is a dirtbag but I totally understand why he hated his guts. He lets down teams year after year. He's so selfish. Look at these weight loss shows. 55 plus year olds losng crazy weight. Shaq is a disgrace. Doesn't make him a bad person but he is a bad teammate in my opinion. Celts clean house with a 30-40 pound lighter Shaq.

The team needs to be reconstructed over the off-season. The problem is I'm not sure the Celtics have attractive and movable assets to sell. The strategy of collecting older players is what's going to hurt the Celtics.

Yeah, I am not a GM so it is difficult to know.  But I am guessing that there are numerous contenders that would want Ray and KG.  Chi would probably love to have Ray.

So in the end, if we could get something of value, why not?

As soon as Miami get a legitimate center (MLE?) they are going to dominate the league. So i want to rest with this guys to compete hard in the playoff next year... Any change will not result in a championshiop team
