I want Shaq out of town. I know Kobe is a dirtbag but I totally understand why he hated his guts. He lets down teams year after year. He's so selfish. Look at these weight loss shows. 55 plus year olds losng crazy weight. Shaq is a disgrace. Doesn't make him a bad person but he is a bad teammate in my opinion. Celts clean house with a 30-40 pound lighter Shaq.

While I agree with you about Shaq as a player, lets not get crazy, it was DA who made Shaq the Celtics white knight coming to save the day...

As long as they are kicking, I believe in them.

If they hang Banner 18, let's use the MLE wisely and contemplating what to do with BBD.

Anything short of Banner 18, we need to look up and down the roster for sure, but we definitely do NOT need to blow this up.

depends how far they get.  anything short of the finals, start dismantling for young players and assets.  If they come up short, it's because they either lost to Miami or Chicago -- 2 teams that are younger and the C's don't have the energy to keep up with them.  another year older next year won't improve that situation and the roster has too many holes to fill with the MLE, LLE and vet min contracts.

KG, Ray, JO, Green and BBD would all make valuable additions to contenders looking for that last piece next year.

This is a nice thought but in the past two seasons, major injuries to the Big 3 have come in the middle of the season (KG this year, Paul last year).  Also, in a lockout there would be many more back to backs than in a regular season.  The Celtics really, really suck on back to backs.

I don't think the Celtics would actually benefit as much from a lockout as people seem to think.

I don't want to vote because I don't know what I want. If we can get value, I guess you have to do it, as it will be over for a while if we just let everybody walk. I still think these guys are hungry and have it in them for another run, especially with the lock out.

And for those of you who think Perk would have made a difference this game, you are dreaming. JO played a very decent game and he wasn't even out there in the 2nd half. Do you really think Doc would have played a very offensively limited Perk?

Do not see a reason for blowing up: we would get nothing really valuable back (do not see any good options in the market) and despite of all our problems in this series, we are right there with Miami...if we can have a better supporting cast next year, I still think we can win it...

Not really (in the short term), unless Danny can pull off a trade that nobody sees coming, or convince NO to take Rondo and picks for Chris Paul.

However, the alternative is to be marginally competitive in the post-season (e.g. the Spurs), maybe win a series or two over the next couple of years, and delay the rebuilding process by holding onto what we have right now.

We stay at around 50 wins a season then fall short in the playoffs every year

Not to mention the back to back losses to lottery teams and 4th quarter meltdowns.

I would definitely support major players movement when this season is over - even to the extent of moving Ray, Rondo, Green, BBD, DWest for young talented players. I think the only guys we can keep are KG, PP and Bradley (who still needs to show what he's got).

Doc I think must also go especially if we are to rebuild. He's just terrible with his substitutions. He misused Green and the other guys we got after the trade. HCA was never among their objectives after the trade and I believe that he could have used them more to keep them attuned to the game and the system. He was too dependent on the OLD THREE. He couldn't let experience and raw talent come together.

And for the record, I'd rather watch a 32-win Celtics team than watch Pierce on Utah, and KG on Portland, and Ray on OKC, and whoever else wherever.

I love this team. Of course because of the uniform, but also because of the group of guys. Trading Perk hurt, but trading the Bird of the new millennium (Pierce) I am not a fan of. He gave us everything he had from Day 1, and as an organization we should reciprocate the loyalty.

If you want to trade KG, Ray, or Rondo, it BETTER blow my socks off.




But I still plan on taking a trip up to Boston the latter part of June to see all of them on duck boats, but that's just me.
