Davis isn't killing us...he just isn't lifting us. Davis has essentially regressed to where he was as a rookie. He can still rotate, and be in the right place at the right time, and he can still set picks...but he just can't do much else.
That is fine when you need a 9th or 10th man, and that is exactly what they needed in game 3, when he actually played decent. However, last night they needed someone to pick up the slack, as the Big 3 had dead legs, and were giving everything they had defensively, and had little left for the offensive side of the ball.
In a lot of ways, this team was put together based around the idea that Davis could give them something off the bench more than he did. Unfortunately, with this regression, along with the inability of West and Green to go to that next level, this team just hasn't been what they thought they would be.
