Wow... how many times can one guy screw up in a single game?

He is messing up offensive scoring opportunities, getting dumb fouls -- on both ends.

I just can't put into words how much he has hurt the celts this half. We are very lucky to even be up by 3.

I also have to commend the refereeing thus far in the game. It's, thus far, the best reffed game of the series. The Celtics should have an even better lead than what they have currently, without a doubt.

There was another play where he got a perfect pass sent right to his chest, and he totally bumbled it bigtime. Normally, I'd let that one thing slide, but he has an accumulation of silly mistakes thus far.

its just his time to sit down we dont need him in this series we need jeff's athletism we'll need glen's big body for chicago & whoever comes out west if we make it that far i hope doc just plugs jeff in for the back up foward position & tell glenn we dont need him in this series

I would say Ray Allen had a worst half.  A missed free tech, an airball, his jumper is flat and awful turnovers.

He played so well earlier this season.  I'm not sure what happened late in the year; maybe he's still struggling with tendinitis. 

Whatever it is, he sucks right now, and is hurting the team.

I still think Doc ran him into the ground by playing him too many minutes in the regular season.

I would have loved to have seen BBD be given some rest over the final weeks in the season. A reduction in playing time and some time to regain his legs would have done him wonders for the playoffs.

I can't defend him other than to say we are leading despite him. He's only a -2 so far. And, he is preserving JO minutes.

He looks a step behind everyone in this series.  I am not usually a BBD hater. It's disappointing.

I would say Ray Allen had a worst half.  A missed free tech, an airball, his jumper is flat and awful turnovers.

Ray hasn't been perfect, but he has been better than Glen, even with his misses, because he hasn't made as many mental mistakes, I think, whereas Glen has been handed a number of gimmes at point blank range, and just couldn't convert.

Maybe I'm being too hard on the guy, I do support him, but he has to cut down on some of those silly mistakes.

KG and Ray have hurt this team way more than Baby thus far in this game. This is not support for the way baby has played which has been poor but he isn't hurting this team nearly as much as Ray and KG being no shows has thus far.

Well, leads at half haven't exactly been something we could count on in this series, so I suppose I'm kinda happy for that much. Just hope we capitalize and finish this game strong.

I've always likened it to a Ferrari with a donut for one of its wheels. 

The starting 5 are so elite and work so hard to get that extra 5% of performance, which should be the difference between a win and a loss, but then you have Glen Davis getting top 4 minutes on the team.  It completely mitigates all of the little extras that the other 4 do.

That said, I don't necessarily fault Davis in this game.  He's getting the ball with the shot clock winding down, and he's even passed a lot otherwise.

Can we all please agree that Glen Davis should NOT be resigned this summer?

He is a liability even when he plays well ... but I'm simply tired of seeing him as our 6th man. He can't do it consistently or consistently in the playoffs.

We need a change in his slot and I really don't want to allocate any of our pay roll to resign him.

Davis isn't killing us...he just isn't lifting us.  Davis has essentially regressed to where he was as a rookie.  He can still rotate, and be in the right place at the right time, and he can still set picks...but he just can't do much else.

That is fine when you need a 9th or 10th man, and that is exactly what they needed in game 3, when he actually played decent.  However, last night they needed someone to pick up the slack, as the Big 3 had dead legs, and were giving everything they had defensively, and had little left for the offensive side of the ball.

In a lot of ways, this team was put together based around the idea that Davis could give them something off the bench more than he did.  Unfortunately, with this regression, along with the inability of West and Green to go to that next level, this team just hasn't been what they thought they would be.

Davis is shootin 30% and is a series worst -33. While plus minus are an imperfect indicator that relies a lot on line ups, the fact that no one else on the celtics is even anywhere near the same number makes it pretty certain that he is the problem. Or, more precisely, Doc playing him is the problem.
