well if there is one point in the league that won't be able to exploit arroyo's lack of D it is bibby.  I wonder if the offense would stagnate with him in though...
not with KG and PP on the floor, IMO, both very good at either finding the open man, or scoring.

Vinnie, is that you?

Arroyo is a competent backup point guard and spot starter. Let's just hope he doesn't have to start.

No offense vinnie, but topics like these are why people give you grief for your lack of optimism.....

Quote
ESPNForsberg Chris Forsberg
Doc expressed concern about Delonte West's shoudler. Delonte on the injury: "Still lingering, but nothing that should hold me out."

I think more important thing to ponder is whether the Heat will fold as a result of tonight.

No offense, Tai, but that is what a board like this is for. Not to hide one's head in the sand and pretend things are great. Thanks for your opinion though, but I won't consider it in the future. And honestly, I really don't care what people think.

You've been nothing but negative. It's one thing to say you don't think we have a chance. But it's another to have every single post telling us we are all doomed.

Honestly, I don't know which is greater, your desire for the team to win or for you to be right.

Your predictions have been knee-jerk and wrong. Shaq played, we beat NY, and we have a good shot at Miami.

How about you give us a few reasons WHY we can and will win.

But I'm guessing you can't do that

Can I give you 5 tps for this post? Thank you!

Delonte and Rondo are the 2 toughest guards in the league. Absolute warriors, not worried about them not playing. I am more worried about how effective Rondo can be, but as he showed us saturday, not fear!!

Plus, Arroyo is a spot starter, making him an excellent backup PG...plus he knows the Miami playbook and tendencies

Folks, I want medics on Rondo for the next 48 hours, hot packs/cold packs, coritizone shots, and schedule the rests but the cycles. This is the playoffs, there's no time to fool around!
I am not a physician, but I do know that cortisone shots are not bubblegum. They are serious medication for specific injuries and should not be given indiscriminantly.  Calling for cortisone shots for every occasion does not sound like the best idea to me.  I am sure, with Delonte's and Rondo's injury history this season,  the medical staff will make the right decisions for them.  I am not sure that Delonte and Rajon (or the fans) are the best judges in this case.  They are warriors and will play if at all possible.

If it has to be Carlos then Carlos it. No need stressing about it.  I'd much prefer him starting than to risk Rondo and Delonte playing if it's not advisable. And maybe he'll go all We've seen over and over this team getting key contributions to win playoff games from unexpected sources. Why not Arroyo?

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Why not Avery Bradley? He's younger, quicker, and has higher upside.

Because Carlos Arroyo is more experienced and knows the Miami sets...Carlos will be fine if needed.  This is a TEAM effort.

Because Bradley's upside is as a shooting guard, not as a point guard.

Yeah if Wade's going to be cheap shotting when people fluster him I'd like to see Avery Bradley stick to him like glue and watch Wade start shoving him off....if he's going to be a hot head might as well push him over the edge with a little turbo d.   I realize there aren't minutes for Bradley but if spot minutes become needed I'd like to see him pester Wade as a specialist assignment.
