Dwyane Wade and LeBron James make up the bulk of the nominations, and it's hard to argue with any of their explanations.

Point blank, Wade and James are an incredible duo, and they are finding ways to score no matter what the C's do on defense, and they are working to create a fast, athletic, swarming defense to smother the Celtics.

At the end of the day, you've got to tip your hat to them.  Wade and James seem to be figuring things out at just the right time, and it's making the Heat look to be a superior team to the Celtics -- and every other team in the playoffs.

That said, let's see what happens in Boston.  If Rajon Rondo can put up a couple performances worth being mentioned on the next edition of TrueHoop Playoff MVP, the Celtics have a solid chance.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Yawn.

LeBron and Wade get most of their points via free throws because they get calls 95% of the time they even touch the paint.

They are fantastic players though, I won't disagree with that.
Celtics' turn on switch for the playoffs: the last bastion of hope for battered Celtic fans.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

They get calls because they legitimately draw fouls.
If you don't foul them they will score.
They are the best penetrate-get-fouled-finishers in the game with D rose catching them soon.

I agree there's not much we can really do except pray they shoot a little lower % and then we capitalize when we do tie the game or get a run going- something we've failed to do.

The last 5-7 minutes of a quarter is supposed to be our time to shine and when we control the tempo of the game and execute.
Unfortunately this series the last 7 minutes of the game have been our downfall and the Heat have capitalized and punished us.
Home court could be a good remedy for this problem.
Fingers crossed.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Dirk and ZBO have been absolutely phenomenal for their teams...basically every time their team can't get out of a possession, both of those guys have made something good happen.

It's pretty remarkable.
