Down 2 at halftime, normally I would feel optimistic about the 2nd half. But I just don't see any posive things here. We're down 2 at home, Rondo is pure garbage, the bench is garbage too (except Delonte), we keep losing the ball by ourselves (i.e with no pressure from the Heat), we make dumb plays, we can't stop Anthony (you would think Doc would have made adjustments after 3 games but no), and we can't get any calls when we drive to the basket.

It just feels like we're hanging on and the Heat can on a 10-0 run at anytime. I hope the C's prove me wrong in the 2nd half.

Joel Anthony absolutely killed them in the first half.

The Celtics would be up double digits at this point if not for him.

We're only down by 2.  I'll take it.

yeah..but it is disappointing to predict they wouldn't be able to hold an 11 point lead..

I still think we win this game.

Same here.  Somebody beside Pierce and KG needs to step up, and I think they will.

After the way the Celtics started this game, I think being down by 2 at the half is pretty disappointing.  They started this game looking like they wanted to take over and not let go.  Unsurprisingly, perhaps, they weren't able to sustain it.

This team is still capable of playing better than anybody else in the league, but only in short bursts.  Not enough to beat a team with as much talent and energy as Miami . . . Miami can play really well all game, even if they rarely play incredible.

KG is the only one playing with any fire and Pierce started that way but has now disappeared

Rondo and the bench don't even feel like going there can't see how we take the game unless something changes

Boston's done remarkably well in the KG era without have a lick-down night-in night -out scorer.  Ray and Paul are past the point and KG never was the guy.  Hence the dry spells. So if the Cs arent getting penetration from Rondo / if the defense doenst over-rotate, then the odds start to go against them, causw we've gotno one who can just go off, like Wade or Dirk or Melo.

It looked like delonte hurt his shoulder which is why they took him out and put ray in. He went right to the locker room. Hope he is fine

well, to be fair miami is probably playing better than anyone in the league at this point. nobody's going to blow their doors off. you have to scrap.

About how I see it. The Heat look more like a "team" than the Celtics do.

I think Rondo knows his points come when he attacks the basket. A few easy layups usually get his jumpers going. Problem is, you can't go to the basket against Miami. They knock you to the floor and head off to the races. If the refs would call it even, you'd see the Rondo we all know and love.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I know the naysayers are going into "I told you so" mode
No offense m8, just saying that the topic has been fairly clean when it comes to the whole "2 sides" thing, no need to address it.

I really hope we get back in to this one. It'd be a shame to go out without even putting up a W in game 3. Man, this is a sad state we're in right now. Come out banging Celtics, GET OUT THE GATES STRONG AND DON'T TAKE THE PEDAL OFF THE METAL!!!

boston has to get some calls inside. i've seen ray, KG, PP and JO all get hammered at the rim...with no call...

Good summary.

I'm not ordinarily an advocate of this, but Doc's got to make it clear with a demostration in the third quarter that he's not going to sit still for the game being called differently on each end of the floor.

Get up, get in someone's ear and get a T, Doc.
