I want him to make it through 15 minutes without re-injury.  If he can do that, I think we're the better team.
Maybe, I'm not entirely sure of that.

But 10-15 minutes at the C spot would be huge. That would reduce the need to play Davis at C so long. Plus it'd be nice if he could give us a couple of easy buckets. We sorely need easy points.

Where's the "tear down the basket and hurt LeBron in the process" option?

I was looking for that one too. LOL

But seriously, I just want to play well.  Rebound, make those easy baskets and give some hard fouls to Lebron and Wade.

After seeing how the officials have treated Pierce and Jermaine O'Neal for standing their ground against the messiah and Wade, I think any hard foul by Shaq will get him ejected.  I see the officials looking for a reason to call flagrants whenever the messiah is touched.

Shaq will help most on offense where nobody can defend him.  But if he asserts himself defensively, he won't be in the game long.

10-15 minutes of shaq means 10-15mins less minutes of big babg which puts him back at where he best operates the 20-25 minute energy off the bench mark..

honestly, hard fouls under the basket, and easy buckets. drawing double teams and passing out to open shooters. IMO he changes the dynamics of our team alot

All I want Shaq to do is play hard, finish the game without getting hurt. Also hit D-Wade & Lebron so hard they think twice about steaming down the paint.

Reimplement the "no-layups" rule.

Is that the rule that lead to Rondo getting his second foul in Game 1?

No? What do you mean? I didn't think this thread was about Rondo.

I think Shaq can afford to foul hard and regularly since he'll be playing limited minutes. That's what I want him to do.

I want him to remind us that he was arguably the most dominant offensive force in the NBA since Wilt Chamberlain.

I also wouldn't be unhappy if he hit LeBron, Wade, or Bosh so hard that he ended one of their seasons.

It would be nice if he'd give us some minutes at the 5.

I'm happy that we have Shaq as a possible "Go" for tomorrow, (later today, actually), because he makes that green paint a lot more formidable to an attacking D-Wade or LeBomb, but I hope we win this game for other reasons, and on the strength of our "Superstars" performing like Superstars, and this entire team playing defense and their "A" game the way we know they can.

Whatever minutes Shaq can give us will be awesome, but if we approach the rest of the post-season in terms of whether or not Shaq is available and on the floor for substantial minutes, we'll be setting ourselves up for failure. This team can beat the Heat without Diesel, and we're 3/3 for the season to this point, so Shaq should be used as an add-on and an insurance policy, not as a hinge-pin.
