I just couldn't possibly stomach watching the Heat - particularly Lebron & Bosh - celebrate a victory. And then the media coverage of it for the next weeks would just be so, so incredibly painful.

I'm a relatively calm person, but even just the knowledge of them winning would enrage me to no end.

Though the Kobe/Jordan talk would be pretty miserable too...
Yeah now I can see why I would hate the heat to win. I know people felt the same way about Boston, but this team had a different attitude and aura around them. This team deserved to win because the players who came to win worked hard and went through tireless times of not being successful or mildly successful AND the players of this big 3 didn't even have the media glory of Miami ever in their careers besides probably KG. I still think Boston can win and will not let go unless they lose in 4.

If you would have asked me this question just a week ago, I would have said I would have the Lakers are the LAST team I want to see win a title. But, for some reason, now I would absolutely be miserable all summer if the Heat win it more than if the Lakers win it. I would have to say its a tie right now with the Lakers/Heat as least favorite for me to win it, and I seem to be hating the Heat more and more every day.  :( >:(

Actually, anybody but the Heat. I don't care if the Lakers match us in the no. of titles won. They are only one behind anyway...but I can't stand those jerks in Miami....that parade, showboating and celebration last summer...I hate Miami.

1. Celtics
2. Grizzlies
3. Thunder (These two are a toss up for me. OK and Mem)
4. Mavs
5. Hawks
6. Bulls
7. Lakers
8. Heat

Quite incredible, I would actually rather see Kobe win a 6th then I would see the Heat win their first together.

I will not get caught in the moment. If it comes down to MIA vs LA, I have to pick Miami to win. I hate both teams... but Kobe and the Lakers always get special hate.   :D

If Boston doesn't win it:

1. Bulls - I just like their team. I would like to see a number of those players in green.

then its a big drop off

2. OKC
3. MEM
4. DAL
5. ATL

and another huge drop..

6. MIA
7. LAL

Not only the Kobe/Jordan talk, but the "The Lakers are the best franchise in NBA history" talk.  If they catch us in championships, pretty much every media outlet will be trumpeting that theme.  The sad thing is, we wouldn't have much ammunition to argue against them.

As much as I hate Lebron's ego, I'd rather see him get a ring than have the Celtics relegated to 1A in NBA history.

I guess it's the age old band-aid argument, rip it off or peel it.

I guess, the Laker vs. Celtics talk would really bother me when I sat down to think about it. But, again, I'd have to actually think about the historical significance of their win.

W/ the Heat, I'd just turn on the TV, see it, and become immediately enraged.

1. Celtics

....

2. OKC
3. Mavs - would love to see Dirk get a ring
4. Grizzlies
....

5. Bulls
6. Hawks - don't really care about either of these teams

....

7./8. Heat/LA - toss up, not sure which one is worse to be honest. A Finals match between those two would be unbearable.

1. Celtics - obviously

2. Mavs - Dirk deserves it.

3. Grizzlies - Would be awesome for an 8th seed to win it all. Plus, these guys have turned out to be pretty entertaining to watch with their hard-nosed in-the-paint style.

4. Thunder - Would be higher, but they're gonna win sooner or later anyway. I wouldn't mind seeing them wait a couple of years to win one.

5. Hawks - Lesser of the remaining evils, as I shall explain:

6. Bulls - Derrick Rose stole the award from the real MVP, Dwight Howard. He's definitely overrated, and I'm tired of big-market teams being the only teams that win. The Bulls already have 6 rings thanks to Jordan. Having the Hawks, Mavs, Thunder, or Grizzlies earn their first championship would be much more interesting.

7. Heat - I hate how this team formed and I hate Lebron's arrogance. Most of all, I hate the likelihood of the possibility we're going to have to endure the better part of a decade watching this team win ring after ring. Ugh. These guys would be dead last if not for the...

8 Lakers - Any true fan shouldn't have them ranked any higher than last, for obvious reasons. I hate Phil Jackon and his smug attitude and his transparent head games. I hate Derek Fisher and his flopping and cheap shots. I hate Kobe being compared to Jordan. I hate Gasol thinking he's better than KG. I hate how the refs are in love with this team, and how they pretty much handed them Game 7 last year. Most of all, I think I just hate LA's band-wagoning, fake, and over-entitled fans.

Anyone but the Heat. I would prefer a Lakers 3peat. I don't know what I would do if the Heat won the title. I don't even want to think about it.

Well, if couldn't be the Celtics, I'd certainly root for Tom T.'s Bulls.  They play the tough defense that we love.  Furthermore, I think they have the most realistic chance to ensure that my two worst fears don't occur: the Lakers tying the Celtics for championships or the Heat winning a title.

1. Celtics

2. Memphis - the anti-Heat.  This would be best for the league (but not the ratings) and would be a big screw you to the people who think you need a superstar to win or to be in a major market to win.  Plus it would be a big screw you to the superstars who force trades, leave for greener pastures, etc.

3. OKC - I just like them.  All class. Another anti-big market team (though not anti-superstar).

4. Mavs - Mark Cuban is probably one of the best owners in the league, I would like to see him rewarded for what he did in Dallas (plus gets them the championship they should have won in '06)

5. Hawks - similar to Memphis.  No major superstar.  No media love.  Would probably rate them higher, but there is nobody on their time I really like.  Plus I think their management/ownership has generally sucked.

6. Bulls - too big of a market, too many superstars.  I don't dislike them, but if it's not the Celtics I want a small market, non-superstar team to win it.

7. Lakers - I hate the Lakers, I hate Phil Jackson.  I love Artest though.  I don't know if I hate Kobe less now, or just hate LeBron so much more that it only makes me feel like I hate Kobe less.  I would rather the Lakers win, then LeBron though.

8. Heat - As of right now, I don't ever think I could ever root for LeBron.  I want him to go down in history as one of the biggest losers and primadonnas in the history game.  If the Lakers have to win a championship every single year for the next 10-15 years to keep LeBron from winning just one, I would gladly take it.

Lakers/Heat though is like being asked who would you rather win a Nobel Peace Prize, Hitler or Bin Laden.
