I thank them too for the memories, but man it's not fair. It's not fair how those three had to struggle for so many years and only have 1 ring to prove their handwork. It's not fair that KG, the player that made me turn against the Lakers in 04 after his WCF loss has 1 ring while players that are half his league have 2 or 3 rings. It's not fair that this team has to go through injuries year after year and can't seem to get past that hump. Man I'm just mad sad angry and in panic mode all in one. These three should not retire with 1 ring Ray should not retire with 1 ring, KG should not retire with 1 ring and Paul shouldn't either and what hurts me the most is that they can probably lose to the Heat and that team tried to follow this teams plan of getting a big 3. I respect the talent of Miami, but they have many more years to win and have been the media focus all year and the Celtics have been doubted since these three arrive. Everytime I watch that KG interview before Boston and the championship interview I cry and I cry now looking at it. I know I'm not supposed to be this dedicated to a team, but man this team just hits me in a way that makes me root for them. I still hope they win both games in Boston  and hope they can fight this series to 7 and win and I still deep down hope for banner 18, but if not, I just thank them for making me a huge basketball fan and hope the best for them after this era and I will still support this team.

Wow...did we lose the series yet?

Why the sad thread?

This team isn't done until we lose 4 games, right?

And they're not retiring yet.

I hope Doc will be replaced too,he's not a good coach, i hope Danny replaced him in lieu of Larry Brown.

Why still trying to put Davis on the rotation is the one that p---ed me off.

He has Murphy  & Kristic that can rebound better than Big Fat Slow Davis.

I have looked several times for the ending in True Grit where John Wayne is in the snake pit and he's like "Where's that guy when I need him? Oh he's dead" and the guy crawls up and yells "I ain't dead yet!"

I couldn't find it so just use your imagination.

They probably won't, but next season will be a short one and the Celtics will be clearly in a class below the rising superpowers (Miami, Chicago, Oklahoma City, etc).  If Danny is smart (assuming the lockout doesn't completely prevent him from doing so), he should look to start the rebuilding process this summer, starting with trying to get as much value as possible in return for Rondo and Jeff Green.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Since big bad Danny insists he would have traded Bird sooner let's see what he does

This is getting ridiculous, last time I checked we were down 2-0, make this thread when (if) we lose 2 more games.

I know the situation isn't great but come on, don't sell the bear's skin before he is killed.

I feel bad for whoever started this thread, it is sad on all accounts. Buck up fella, keep those depressing thoughts inside, series isn't over 'til they lose at home.

I really hope those guys will stay on the team in some capacity , coachs, trainers, scouts , or even role players. I have been a PP fan since his Kansas days. And I watched KG , my favorite player though all those wasted days in Minn. , somehow knowing he'd be a perfect Celtic .

Shame we could bhave brought them together when they were much younger.

But the NBA is getting much like top COLLEGE hoops now.  You normally have to have the most McDonalds all Americans to compete. Now you need 2-3 yound supers to compete.

Hopefully , DA will land us the  "BIG PRIZE"  D12

Rebuild around him and make the LAKERS pay dearly for many years to come. .

TP man, you described my feelings after last nights loss better than I could...

What Bakhu says... we have the privilege to watch one of the greatest Celtic squads. Enjoy the ride, and don't believe the hype!
