Who here expected a quick and easy series?

We have to win one on their homecourt. I rather it come later than now. We went into LA and won game 2, but we never won there again. Game 2 is arguably the least important game in a long series without HCA.

They did their job. We have a few days off to get ready to return the favor.

We played poorly. They played good. Of course if the trend continues the future looks bleak. But I trust this team, and everyone that has watched them the last four years should too. They have the talent, and I refuse to believe they don't still have the heart.

Have a beer, take a chill pill, and let's wait for Game 3. That's all we can really do now anyway. Anyone who doesn't firmly believe we can still win this, log off the forum.

I didn't expect a quick series, but I also didn't expect to be down 0-2.

Welll if we pull the poll back up there were actually a LOT of Celtic fans predicting Celtics in 5.

Winning 4 out of the next 5 is an extremely difficult task..but if anyone can do it, Rondo Ray Pierce and Garnett can.

We just have to stop looking at the roleplayers for help, those four have to know that it's on them to get it done

We have to win 4 out of the next 5 games...the Heat have to win 2 out of the next 5. I like their chances a lot better.

There's no reason to overreact, but there's also very little reason for optimism. Now is some time for some good, old fashioned, realism. The Celtics are old and beatup, they don't have an intimidating defense anymore, and they do not have good energy in the 4th quarter, something that hurt them the last 1/3rd of the regular season as well.

Yeah, they've got a puncher's chance. But it's time to be realistic. A lot has to go right for them to beat the Heat.

I don't think anyone outside of that bozo Hollinger did. C's just look overmatched. Have yet to show they can even slow down Wade/LeBron. Rondo's strengths have been pretty much negated.

I don't think it's really an overreaction to say the C's are in hot water right now going back to Boston or not.

Role players were the reason we were even in the game tonight, Garnett was soft as a 2 ply tissue, Pierce was a no show, Ray took 3 jump shots....Rondo is playing like badrondo, and glen davis.....ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh glen davis.

I don't want to overreact, but losing 3 straight big (one for home court and the 2 playoff games) games which were not even close to the Heat is pretty disturbing to me. We won the 3 early games but lost the last 3 which mattered the most. We need to get two quality wins at home to make a series out of this.

I'm sorry but this looks all but over.

You can't lose 2 games in a row, both by an average margin of 8-9 points.

That's just called : BEING COMPLETELY OUTPLAYED.

Celtics look old and mentally weak. This is very sad.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
I'm one of the biggest homers out here, and annoy most people here with my optimism (people think I can't see what's going on, but you can't do anything if you don't believe in it).

But even I have to say this: only 15 teams have come back from being down 0-2 in NBA history. 191/204 teams have won a 7 game series when up 2-0, around 94%.

Panic has started to creep in for me. We go down 0-3 and it will officially call it over.

Yeah, the bench outplayed the starters tonight IMO.

What I meant was that the ALL-STARS need to home and understand that THEY'RE responsible for us winning this thing, and they need to step up and play like it

I think they needed tonight's game.  Tough for a jump shooting team to win 4 of 5 against two beasts like Wade and LeBron.  Plus Miami has figured out exactly what kind of team they are.

Game was there for the taking but BBD's 3 missed layups (which I think were consecutive) just killed them.

Like I said Game 2 was crucial.

Celtics didn't step up and now it looks all but over for them.

You reap what you sow.

Never should have lost Homecourt to Miami, so stupid.
