honestly this is a game 2 thread of a 7 game series can all you doubters who are going to talk about how they are done please leave the thread?

cause ur only adding the frustration of the most frustrating 2 games ive ever been apart of for the celtics

These aren't anywhere close to the most frustrating games in the last few years, let alone Celtics history as a whole.  The Celtics are just getting outplayed; they're overmatched right now.  It's more disappointing than it is frustrating.

Actually, if the C's play the second half the way they played the second half on Sunday, we're OK.  Obviously, if they continue as is, they lose this one.

Miami has won more quarters (of the six played), but given HCA and ref advantages, I would not say Miami is dominating.  One strong half by the C's and this series is tied.

BTW -- folks keep talking about Pierce looking gimpy -- I didn't see an injury -- was there one?

I agree, the Heat defense is defiently hurting the Celtics' execution.

limpy pierce is outmatched by lebron
and a hot wade is too much for ray
kg is really playing uninspired, first time ive ever said that
bibby is out playing rondo. ever think we'd say that

Celtics need to wake up, DOC needs to wake up, and honestly they just need to execute.

I will never understand why it is taboo to point out that the Celtics are overmatched. Do I like it? Not at all. I love the Celtics and have my whole life. Last year hurt because I felt we were better than the Lakers, but lost. This series, I do not think the Celtics are the better team right now. I hate it, but that doesn't mean I can deny it.

It does not make me a fairweather fan because I think Miami is going to win this series. It does not make anyone a fairweather fan for thinking that. Of all the teams left in the post season, both in the East and the West, I hate the matchup Boston has with Miami.

I picked Miami to win this series in five, with one big game for the Celtics. I also said if they beat Miami, banner 18 is ours. I just cannot find a scenario, barring food poisoning taking down the Heat starters, preventing Miami from moving on.

These are the Boston Celtics, my Celtics. I will watch the games even though I expect a series loss because I love my Celtics. I am sad about it, but that's sports.

I am a Montreal Canadiens fan too and picked Boston to win in 7 games because I felt they were just that little bit better than what Montreal could bring. I did not miss a game of the series and I have no shame in the losing. I won't have shame in losing to Miami either.

Go Celtics.

Well said.  The Heat appear to be the better team right now.  They are finding ways to score, they are playing with greater intensity, and they are preventing the Celtics from getting anything going offensively.  The Heat deserve to be up in this series right now, and it's starting to appear as though the Celtics are simply overmatched.

That´s not what I saw. The Heat play just as bad as we do. This will be a good, old-fashioned grind-out battle, and the winner will be the team who wants it more.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

The scariest part may be that Lebron James hasn't even needed to be Lebron James yet in this series

I am not being melodramatic.

If you think that these games arent frustrating then you aren't a celtics fan. This is the first time KG isnt playing inspired, rondo isnt being rondo,

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Why does this feel like they are losing by 15

We're lucky to be down by 5.. LUCKY

On the other end though Miami is quite "lucky" to be up 5. They didn't score for like 5 minutes straight.

exactly. we should be up 10, we missed a lot of easy looks

That's because we're the better team.  When we play our game they cannot beat us.  We showed that in the regular season.

Problem is we're not executing well and we're struggling to finish when we do.

problem with that is that "executing well" and "finishing" is what superior teams do. celtics can't be the better team if they don't play like it.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

Well, there's still hope.  I feel a bit discouraged, but it's far from over.

Green looked good.

And God would I love to see Chris Bosh get a career ending injury.  As much as I hate LeBron James as a person, I know that I'd love his defensive intensity and unselfishness if he was in Green.  However, Bosh is everything wrong with the NBA: soft and whiny.
