Okay so an NBA official can watch a replay after a game and figure this stuff out.  Why can't we have an actual NBA official obviously not Stern at every playoff game to do this.  In the regular season, I understand, it's not possible, you could have potentially 12-10 games going on at once.  Come post season though, the most that can play on the same day would be round 1 which is 8, which obviously they never do.  I'm sure there enough people in whatever office change these calls where they can get them to games to watch replays or see it while it occurs.  It's an absolute joke that they can rescind flagrant fouls because it does nothing.  Something should actually be done whether it's holding the referees accountable or having someone on the sideline to make the call and only they be allowed to do so.  Sweet, Jones' foul is upgraded, but it doesn't change anything.
do it

I am sorry but they missed the biggest one.  wade literally trying to run PP over was more of a flagrant that jones' play.  That is, while jones hit PP in the head, it likely was not intentional.  when you look at the wade play, he basically loaded up and smashed into PP.  That's why PP got so p---ed.

Great so the NBA admits that the 5 point swing in favor of Miami after we cut down their lead to 9 was totally bogus? Fantastic but it won't get our points back.
For the record, mia wasn't gifted a five point swing.  They were gifted two points but earned the other three.

Yes, but had it not happened, the other three would not have happened.  They are connected.  No flagrant, they just get 2 and we move along.

Jermaine bogus flagrant was a momentum killer halting a Celtics run. C's just cut a 19point deficit in 3rd Q to 9points. Dan Crawford calls the flagrant foul without any reservation. The officials didn't even huddle nothing, simply one quick whistle by Dan Crawford. Consequently Miami gets 5points from that one possession.

Pierce first technical would be avoided had the referee made the right call a Flagrant foul on Jones. Not calling a flagrant foul on the play prevented a possible 4-5 point swing in Celtics direction.

Final Score 99-90

NBA where incompetent officiating happens.

I could be wrong but mia wasn't in the penalty.  So as far as I know, they still would have taken the ball out of bounds and had the opportunity to take and make a three.

yes but the last time I checked, there were no 5 pt shots in an NBA game, so the flagrant call gave them about half of those points

Well, to be exact the flagrant gave them %40 of those points.  They earned 60% of them

fair enough, either way, there was no excuse for leaving Bibby wide open for a 3 pt shot, so they deserved those 3 points the celtics gave them

You know, I understand your sentiment.  Sometimes, when things go wrong, the game can snowball.  Psychologically, them scoring 5 points on a possession can be pretty deflating.

But the point is, bad stuff is going to happen.  But the goods teams play through those.  We can't blame a 10 point run on one play (for example).  No matter what happens, the Celts just have to keep playing.

And I think they will.
