JO's flagrant foul has been rescinded. James Jones' foul on Pierce has been upgraded to a flagrant 1. Good work refs

Glad to hear it, sadly those are two possessions we won't get back in game 1.

Oh well.

Wow, with all the Pierce stuff I completely forgot about how silly that flagrant on Jermaine was.

Good - I was 99% sure the JO foul would be downgraded, but it's nice to see the other foul upgraded too.

Between those two calls, James Jones really flopped and flailed his way to victory.  Oh yeah and stuck like 5 3s too, but who's counting?

My take is that we wouldn't have won that game even if those 2 calls go our way.  It absolutely should have a psychological effect on the refs that will work to at least provide an evenly called game on Tuesday.

Wow. Between this, and the non-suspension for the Pierce "face rub," I bet Miami Heat message boards are screaming bloody murder right now.

Surprised there was nothing for the Wade tackle. If you can run through screens like that I would love for us to do that every once in a while.

Now the spotlight is on the officials so they are going to be very cautious going forward in this series

Should we bring out Shaq and let him foul hard so that there will be no question whether its a flagrant or not?

Didn't we get Shaq to handle the rough stuff and patrol the paint?

Great so the NBA admits that the 5 point swing in favor of Miami after we cut down their lead to 9 was totally bogus? Fantastic but it won't get our points back.

I would love it if when the NBA rules the refs were wrong that they would fine that ref or suspend them for 1 game ! Sure would stop the bad calls !!!!

I believe in bad referees, not in conspiracies.  I think that the refs are swayed by emotion and I think the overturned calls are an embarrassment they will not wish to risk exacerbating.  The refs, if anything, will be over-compensating in the Celtics favor. Which, given the tendency to make calls for The King and the home crowd, should result in an evenly called game.

Actually the lead was only 7 at that point.  The 5 point gift from the refs was absolutely crushing, after we had stolen all the momentum.
