The captain wil probably get fined for refusing to address the press, but better that than coming out and saying things that might get him suspended.

So sad reading that people think this game today was fixed. SMH

Yeah, slightly ridiculous. The Celtics simply got beat today and frankly, the score was a lot closer than the game actually was.

PJ does it every time, does he not? Doc should, too but most likely won't. Sadly, I should add.

Agreed. Celtics are veterans though, they will not let the refs get in their head.

Agree! But the calls were pretty bad, you have to admit. They made a lot of calls that took away what momentum we were gaining. We WERE outplayed, but the refs weren't faultless.

From Adrian Wojnarowski twitter:

Quote
Ref Dan Crawford on Pierce 2nd tech: "..A verbal taunt. He directed profanity at Wade. And in the rule book, that is a verbal taunt."

Yeah, where's the rule that says Wade can lower his shoulder into Pierce and not be called for a foul?

He was called for a foul, but it should have been a flagrant.

Refereeing was bad but stop blaming it alone.

If this was a 1-2 point game, you have a right to be upset.

But in this case Celtics just got completely outplayed.
Celtics' turn on switch for the playoffs: the last bastion of hope for battered Celtic fans.

You can get fined for refusing to address the press? Jeez.

yep they will nail him for that. i hope he take a page out of Sheeds book for the rest of the serious after he got nailed for the same thing. that resulted in the famous 'both teams played hard' line. in which Sheed answered every question "both teams played hard" and said nothing else, making the interview irrelevant without getting fined for not talking to the press.

If they say anything they will get fined like Van Gundy did when he said something about Stern and his minions, but if you're not a complete Celtics/Paul Pierce hater nor a Heat/LeBron Wade fanatic you would see that those fouls were wrong and that the writing is on the wall about this league. Yes the Celtics played like crap in the toilet, but those two fouls on JO and Pierce getting ejected was unacceptable. No matter what if they played horrible those calls should not be put under the table, but they should not be the sole blame.

I'm glad Paul didn't talk because I feel he might have said something that could get him fined and suspended. Just don't say anything and play Tuesday with your anger. Don't let it get to you to the point where you can't play well and the team should just keep their opinions limited and just play with their passion and anger.

From today I can tell Paul and the rest of the team may hate the Heat more than I thought and will play way better than today. I do know that this series just got real and will be an ugly war till the end. I can see fighting and more shoving and it will not only involve Captain.

I believe that the game was not fixed, but horribly handled.

I have most of an issue with the Rondo fouls in the first half. Our team was a -16 with Rondo off the court in only 16 minutes and we were only down 4 when Rondo had to come out of the game. They broke the game open after Rondo went to the bench. 2/3 of those fouls were dead wrong. One was the James Jones flop and the other was an offensive rebound over Bibby that I have rewatched 10 times and still have no idea what happened.

Rondo had a bad game, but he still runs our ship much, much better than Delonte. Delonte was also late on a few rotations on James Jones 3's. Rondo isn't typically poor on those rotations.

Wait so he can be called for that, but Wade can get off scotch free? Did Wade say anything to Captain to make him go off or did he just get angry and retaliate towards Wade? If Wade made him get angry they need to resend that tech on Paul.

Wade and Pierce both got T'd up.

Just shows that they are a joke, though, because KG does taunting with harsh language on every other possession and doesn't get called for T's. Malloy couldn't let the big boys sort things out.

Malloy was biased though, his first, quick, reaction was to emphatically toss Pierce, he didn't even look at Wade who committed an obvious flagrant foul that was not called a flagrant
