boston had their best 4th quarter ejected with 7 minutes to play and making a run. the refs absolutely had a hand in this game. the james jones foul on Pierce was flagrant. he grabbed him around his head. wade lowered his shoulder and looked to run through pierce...yet pierce got tossed. joke

boston has to start games better

Doc just said the same thing in his postgame comments right now about those 2 fouls

All three of those calls ruined the game. Like I said in the game thread, if this type of officiating keeps up, I'm done with watching the NBA after the lockout. There are reasons why the league lost a ton of money lately.

C'mon Celtics fans, we're better than this. We lost because we got outplayed today, not because of the refs.

I'm sorry, the Celtics made mistakes. Nobody is looking for an excuse, but if you don't think that absolutely horrible flagrant foul called on Jermaine, while the Celtics were dropping the Heat lead, and on a run, was significant, then you're crazy.

That was no flagrant foul, not in the least.

Every bit counts, the Celtics proved tonight on a number of stretches, that every time the Heat built up their lead, we easily made a run to drop it. The Celtics shouldn't have been fighting back from so far in the 4th in the first place, and a big part of the reason that we were, is because of the bad calls made against us.

James Jones' foul on Pierce was far more of a Flagrant than what Jermaine O'neal did, far more.

The NBA has sucked for some time now. Stern has been around way too long. Not healthy for the Sport. These refs did not come into this game with an open mind. I don't know how they get their marching orders but they indeed do get instructions. Three old men the Celtics suit up don't sell NBA retail junk.  The League needs a younger movement because the NFL has sucked most of the energy out of the Big 3 Sports. This was an important end to the game sending a message to the Heat how tough it is to beat us. As bad as we played plus the assists from the Zebras. Our Big 3 are being called on again to do the impossible.

The Celtics MUST play better going forward.

That's it.

I'd be angered if the game was tied and Pierce got tossed. But they were down nearly double-digits the entire second half. I'm not gonna sit here and guess how this game ends if Pierce takes 2-4 FT's and stays in the rest of the game.

They played bad. I can blame it on the refs, the layoff, the double-teams, the weather, the white shirts in the crowd, whatever. It doesn't matter after the fact.

We need to come out and play better.

Pierce refusing to come to the postgame podium, because he doesn't want to get in any further trouble with the league. That says enough to me.

Ugh... what game were you watching?  Those techs on Pierce would never be called on Lebron in a million years, and they do not get called on Pierce anyway unless the refs are openly attempting to make sure Miami wins.  Not to mention the flagrant on JO and Rondo's quick foul trouble...

Smart move Pierce not coming out to Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. about calls. The Media is as bad as the NBA front office. They will side with Miami. Paul will stick it where it hurts Tuesday.

Doc is way too mellow to coach in this League. Better suited to the WNBA.
